And very good news about Hija, Neti, although she may not see it that way. Sis is here and we are doing stuff. Shed man came yesterday and is going to give me a new rubber roof, and I have just booked my self a sight test online for later today, the booking was online not the sight test. Shaney have you given your walking thing a name?
Morning all
Nice bright one .Hope it keeps that way.
Good luck Jno ,hope all will be well for you and great that you're safely curtained. All you need now is an Aspidistra.
I haven't given it a name as yet Woofy .It's just the wheelie, but it's wheelie handy. Btw there's a new Dandy Gilver out which I'm reading at the moment .A Step so Grave.

right, platelets are where they should be (for a change; they have been in long-term decline these 20 years); I have hung the washing out in the sun, brought it in from the rain and hung it out in the breeze. What pointless task shall I do next?
Neti, glad to hear hija is being sorted. How does a bad back make your hands swell?

Ah yes sorry about that Woofy. It's only just come out in paperback and of course the library are very slow to get the new books in these days and get paperbacks rather than hardback copies hence the wait and me thinking it had just been published.
That's good news Jno.
Yes, my back causes referred pain and swelling in my other extremities. Still nice and bright here.

Yes Neti my mind boggles too.Hands swell up like sausages as proved by the pork fillet wrapped in bacon which I tried to take out of the oven last night and then promptly dropped over the floor,so that was our dinner in the bin.
I've just ordered some new oven gloves which have fingers as opposed to those pads so I may be able to get a better grip on things:)
Hope your daughter feels better and that you are all ok. Dull blustery day here and looks like rain.

OMG I am a right mess Sddenly overwhelmed by sleep at 9pm last night, 5 hours too early, tucked myself in warm, woke an hour later shivering, in fact shaking like a tractor engine, my whole body. Lots of little cramps too. Eventually took a zopiclone and slept for 16 hours. OH got me an emergency consultation with our GP, who thinks it's urinary infection and has given me some twicw a day antibios.
Sorry for speling, still very very shaky/

I think I'm sort of recovering, eating salad and drinking mineral water. Can't find a painkiller that works, nurofen. cocodamol, aspirin, paracetamol, they all leave my neck and forehead hurting especially when I cough, so OH has given me an old opiod, tramadol, I think. So my next post may be really out of it
Morning all
Sorry to hear of your ailments jno. I took troll once and have never felt so ill, I threw them all away as it was a nasty experience and ask Mexico never up prescribe them again!
Well hija is on the mend although one forea/hand is still swollen and like you Shaney, she can't grip anything. Hasnt stopped her from going put to a bbq and still not home yet!
I am being bitten to bits yet again by these pesky hard to see flies, oh I love the summer time!! Have some DEET lotion so will have to use it much as I don't want to!
We saw one of those walkers that you have Shaney but we have decided that they are not made for rough terrain so no good for me and i also have a steep hill to climb, i would worry that it would run away from me! So will continue unaided while I can.

Nice bright day so far after the rain yesterday.
Hope you feel a bit better today Jno.
Tramatroll is awful stuff.Gave me the jitters and I felt out of it all the time so stopped taking them.
Yes, I can see that the walker would be awkward for you Neti but they do have brakes. You could always get a collapsible walking stick which you can put in your bag and use it as and when you need a bit of support to get up that hill.
