Do you think it is ok to flood large parts of Wales in order to keep the South-East supplied with water ?

It wouldn't be as beautifully lush and green then though naz. Maybe we should just let them raid Essex, apparently they have they have more than their fair share of Sunny Delight ;o)
Essex ... the very reason why I live in Wales now
Question Author
what is wrong with essex ?

eh ?

Do you live there?

If you answered yes to any of the above, then you'd know what's wrong with it.
Question Author
Specifically naz, Basildon, I lived there a while, moderately scenic, but I was born in Worcester.

Chelmsford is nice.

I lived in Basildon ....was OK in the 60's & 70's, then turned to poop
Basildon I mean, not me
PMSL naz, thank you!
Question Author
I remember Basildon as a great place. Prevailing winds sweeping through the shopping centre defiantly questioning the architectural genius.

Nowadays however I live and work in Reigate, but I retain fond memories of Essex, as one would for a long dead cat.
glad I can still raise a smile at my own expense
Where in Basildon did you live, whiffey?
Question Author
Arcadia Gardens naz, just by the fire station.

The other side of the dual carriageway to the fire station?
Question Author
No naz, same side, just by the railway line, distressingly close to Laindon.
So ... you never been there then?

Acacia Gardens is in North Benfleet ...

Basildon Fire Station is nowhere near the railway line ...

Busted ?????
Question Author
Yes, Great Burstead, the bit between Billericay and the A127.

...I was in Rhyl yesterday for a work meeting...god what a dump, full of chavs on holiday, glad I live where I do....

if the government decide to flood a large part of Wales to supply water for the south east of england then, like before (Capel Celyn)...we will have no choice, no right to an opinion, they will just do it anyway.... I'm being a cynical cow today....

whiffey, it's like me trying to catch out the Pope on questions about the Vatican ... give it up .. you've been busted mate
Question Author
My question, and I have been totting up - it's 12:8 in favour of flooding Wales. A bit of a surprise I have to say, apart from Cardiff.

I was in Rhyl this week as well. Rhyl has been plagued as the Costa If Your Unemployable In England go do drugs and scrounge in Rhyl. Some parts are Okay though.

In answer to the question I don't know enough about it except to say that maybe we in Wales should encourage it and flog the water at high prices, especially now the are trying to close the pot noodle mines.
