Just wondering, at what age can a male cat be chopped? I have a 9 week old kitten & I rehomed his brother with a mate of mine and we are both wondering what age will it be safe & ok to get him done?

Also, umm yea, my cat sammie had a litter a few months back, we planned to get her done after, only a week after her kittens were rehomed, my other cat popped with a litter so it was a bit manic!
now the 2nd litter has been rehomed, Sammie is pregnant again :( so we have another litter on the way, its going to be abit manic, but will it do sammie any harm? i was planning to get her done as soon as Spinks litter had gone, but its to late now n i dont know what to do or anything!

hi wiggal, No it wont do her any harm but make sure you get Sammie spayed about 6 weeks after she has produced her kittens if you dont want any more.

Its not i dont want anymore, its just sometimes it can get out of hand, we have
Sammie, 2 yr old female -2nd litter this year
Smokie (sammies brother)
Spinks - sammies daughter from last year and has had one litter this year)
K.C 5months (sammies daughter from her first litter this year)
Splodge - spinks son from her litter, hes now 8 wks old!

Plus 2 dogs n a hamster n fishies! its abit of a mad house at times!

I can be done from 20 weeks on but vets generally say 6 months
