Does anyone happen to know what kind of moth this is please, without my having to trawl through hundreds of pics?

It's not really vital that I find out, I'm just curious. Maybe it's something really common...and no, it didn't fly out of my purse. :o)

Thanks for your kind comments on the photos and for assuring me you can all see them. I prefer tinypic, but IE6 won't let me in!! I didn't mean to show the whole album (in which there were three pictures). I am just going to put another in that I took yesterday. The pyracantha looked really lovely a week ago, is now getting more and more bare by the minute and by the end of the week there will be no berries) the blackbirds are having their annual pyracanthafest!!

(I keep getting the whole album showing up and don't know why)
Shaney, so glad you were having a good time with that bottle last night!! How's your head?
Swedie, there is no way I could survive in a city. London born and bred (very leafy part of London though) but have been away for almost 50 years and am now a real country bumpkin. It's not for everyone though. One day the inevitable will happen and living here won't be practical!! :o(

that's worked fine, Lottie. Our neighbours planted a teeny weeny pyracantha against our wall once... he died, she became wheelchair dependent so it just grew and grew... eventually it was 20ft tall and clogging up our gutters and threatening our foundations (and blocking all the light from her window too) so with her permission jno jnr sawed it down. Pretty aggressive things, but fortunately jno jnr is aggressiver.
Good morning...sorry was that too loud shaney? I'll be quieter.
I've often wished I could have a drink to feel better but at times of real stress it has no effect. Maybe the whole bottle would do it, haha, but then I'd just pay later. I think I get so high on adrenaline that nothing overrides it. Besides, I'm not too keen on the taste of most of it anyway, I'll stick with the rescue remedy (I found it at the back of the cupboard yesterday, I could have done with it these past couple of weeks).
...and criticise your less than fragrant fellow men all you like, I do...and those full of coughs & colds who insist on sharing...and those who think having a pushchair = owning the pavement...and...and... :o)
Lovely pics Lottie, you've got quite a view. The colours this autumn have been spektakular but it's not looking quite so attractive today, it's very wild, wet and windy here. Almost all the leaves have gone from my cherry now, there's a smoke tree at the bottom that's very fiery but I'm not going out to take a pic in this...this was taken last weekend...pigeon pie anyone? :o)

Morning all.Raining windy and cold here at the mo but I did walk to the paper shop with my umbrella almost inside out.
Pleased you're sorted with your photos Lottie. They're really lovely.
Shaney you relax as much as you can and if a drop or two of whisky helps then why not!! Hope Mr S. is coping with his Stoma better than he was.
It's school day today for me. I usually walk but I think it'll be a car job.
Hope you are all ok and that you had a good weekend.
See yer later 'gater(s)

Nice photo Robinia. I would agree the colours have been fabulous this autumn. We had a huge flock of pigeons on the field yesterday. I have never seen so many. I could have started a pigeon pie production line.
Morning Jude and jno.
Rain hasn't got to us.............................. yet.
Washing is very firmly pegged out. In fact, I am just about to go and get it in. It's so cold out there!!
See you later!!

Blooming fireworks again last night..happily they finished fairly early, dogs off the ceiling and asleep by 22.30. I turned off my alarm this morning (04.00) and went back to sleep again, woke at 09.00, we all must have needed it, DH was still sound asleep also dogs...really funny once they were awake, bladder took over and they were BURSTING, they wouldn't go out last night as it was noisy, so had gone from about 18.00 last night without a pee....back to sleep again......
