Does anyone happen to know what kind of moth this is please, without my having to trawl through hundreds of pics?
here
It's not really vital that I find out, I'm just curious. Maybe it's something really common...and no, it didn't fly out of my purse. :o)

Gadzooks dear chums, I swear it gets colder by the hour. Looks like the heavy duty padded parka's going to have to come out of mothballs...I hate being bundled up & weighed down by clothes, grrrrr

That's a shame Lottie and even if you rang them the hospitals don't tell you much. (Rightly so I suppose but often a person's friend knows them better than the relatives). It might not be serious, the ambulance people are often obliged to cart you off these days just to be on the safe side.
Hi Robinia. It is bothering me now that they have been gone for 8 hours. I don't know whether they have gone to Kings Lynn or Norwich - it would depend on the problem and I don't know which of them it is so I can't really phone up and enquire on their wellbeing. They are such nice people and don't like bothering other people. They are not people who have lots of friends and acquaintances and apart from their daughter we are probably the only ones they would turn to in an emergency. The rest of the family don't live in this part of the world.

Hopefully, it is not something not too serious. I shall be looking out all evening to see if their lights come on. Its the only house on that side of the road.

My dusting never got done!!
Six hours not 8 hours. I suppose you can wait about in hospitals for longer than that, especially if you are being seen by various doctors and having tests etc.
Tis a worry Lottie, but there's not much you can do.

For lunch I had 3 crumpets, one covered with cheese and poached egg, delis!!

Have sorted out the top of my huge wardrobe, found lots of "lost" things and loads of old photos belonging to my mum! Have also done 2 bin bags for charity shop, and 2 for rubbish. (was originally looking for quilted cover for bed which I found on top on daughter's wardrobe).

Have made a meat and pot pie, and sauteed cabbage, ( sliced cabbage tossed in Tulipan and black pepper in saucepan and then hot stock added and cooked for about 5 mins so cabbage is still crunchy, absolutely delicious and moreish!!)
I do my cabbage the other way round Neti. Par boil for a couple of minutes, drain in and then add butter/marge and black pepper and keep in crunchy, love it!!

Just had a phone call from Mr. It's Mrs who is ill. Don't know what is wrong yet, chest pains and vomiting and he wisely called an ambulance not the doctor. She has been admitted. At least I know now. Will know more tomorrow.
Just looked back in again to say that I hope Mr SS is OK Shaney. I am sure he will be thriving with your TLC and home cooking. Make sure you take care of yourself! xxx

Night, night all. xx
Evening Biddies. Sorry to hear about your friend :Lottie. I hope it's nothing serious but she is in the best place for attention.
My Sausage & Mash lunch was great and I've just had toasted Ham sandwiches and a bit of salad and garlic croutons for my tea, After I had chopped apple, pureed banana and creme fraiche for afters. I really fancied something sweet.
The way you do your cabbage, ladies, sounds great going tp have a go at that. Have got some cabbage in I usually just steam it but not too much cos I like it crunchy too.
My neighboiur friend is coming round at 8 after work for a drink and a chat. That'll take up an hour or 2. she's 18 years younger than me but we get on really well and have a laugh. Also I think she likes talking to me and she tells me stuff I would never dream of telling anybody else. I know I'm a chatterbox but I'm good at keeping secrets.
See yer later 'gater(s)
Jude, I get the feeling you would make a lovely friend to go and chat to. But unfortunately it's a bit far to just pop over a see you :o( xxxx

(You have made me fancy sausages!!!!) Baked beans on toast for me after having a big lunch. I bought some Branston Baked beans because they were extremely cheap in Morrisons. I have only ever liked Heinz so will now have to see if things have changed. Mr LL hates beans so I will cook him something later when he comes back from Oxfordshire.

xxxx
Night, night again. This is really it!!!!!
NIGHT LOTTIE I'M SHOUTING IN CASE YOU'RE UPSTAIRS ~ IF YOU'VE GOT ANY :o)
ooof busy day...sorted a ton of clean laundry and a box of filing, made a million (well half a million) phonecalls on behalf of DH who hates phoning even while he is well and talked myself into a sore throat with Sis, lovely long gossip.
MY lovely purple jeans saga continues. She saw them in her M and S, knew that I needed them so guessed at my size as 18, bought a pair and posted them to me for a surprise. Now my bum is bigger than the isle of Wight so i had to phone her and say lovely jeans but i need a 22 I knew that was right because `i had bought the same style last year in brown...with me so far? she said no prob, hang on to the 18's i will pick them up when i visit and i will get you some 22's BUT rang back to say her M and S had no 22's so would I get them on the net and she would give me the money as she wanted still to give them to me (hang on its not much longer) anyway the jeans arrive today and they are too big!!
so they have to go back and I need to get 20's tra la which is good news, down a size but getting even more complicated...and i haven't even tried to buy the boots yet.

I too am a mystery shopper...Its a mystery how I manage to ever get anything.

DH went out on his own today to a meeting with some of his marine friends...came back tired but chipper and has another meeting to go to tomorrow. A mate drove him today, tomorrow (roll of drums) he drives himself. I am both delighted and terrified as you may imagine...delight has the upper hand just.
night night sleep tight don't let the giant moths bite
Well done DH, he seems to be vastly improved!

Lottie, I nearly had a disaster with my cabbage, I had sauteed it in tulipan and the kettle had boiled for the stock but couldn't find any stockcubes in the house at all, moment of panic, then after thinking about it, I decided to use Knorr's Onion soup in a packet, well only a little, and do you know it worked beautifully and was so delicious, so may do it that way again. This onion soup is the base of many of my pies and stews, really tasty.

My local doctor is going to remove a mole (lunar =moon) from my back next week, I was so surprised cos the doctors never do anything like that, and we always have to trundle to main hospital in Ibiza. He said he was capable if I trusted him, can't wait to strip off all my clothes in preparation for the op!!
Special thoughts for mr s and shaney x
*waves faintly and greets possums in feeble moth-like voice* I don't have that many friends in this town Jude - enough to visit a new one each day, that is. Most of my friends are "from the past" and live in other towns. The library is my refuge but the days are long and I get bored and start walking and wear myself out (easily done) and I could fall asleep walking cos I get up... before the streets are aired? I think Shaney called it:) Yesterday I went into town to pick up some tickets for the theatre; said out-of-town-friends will be visiting during what happens to be my birthday and we're seeing Death of a Salesman and going to a fab restaurant. One friend said she'd seen the Salesman so many times she could act in it herself. True, dat. Me too. But some of them really want to go so that's okay. Krister Henriksson - one of our own Wallanders - will be starring.

So pleased for both the misters - just don't let Jude get to any of them with her magnets and they'll be okay;-) Jude when I saw my Japanese Master Acupuncturist he would sometimes apply the tiniest magnets here and there. If memory serves he just secured them with a piece of surgical tape. I asked him about those new agey magnet bracelets and he shuddered with what would have been contempt if he hadn't been such a nice guy. He said magnets can be very potent but you have to know what you're doing and it's not like your foot hurts so you apply a magnet to your foot, your knee hurts so you apply a magnet to your knee - not so, not that easy, you have to know about the meridians. A shop assistant said if you wear a pacemaker you shouldn't use even a piece of jewellery with one of those magnet locks so that says something.

Dying for some of that crisp cabbage now, sounds like my kind of food:) Neti a fine lemony scent: Eau de Patou. I wore it some fifteen years ago and loved it back then. Lottie my sis wore Armani Code last time I visited, very nice. Robi I emailed you
(cont.) Robi I emailed you yesterday. The email will explode when you open it. That's for saying we're having snow. (Naw, thanks for the warning.)

Here's one of our Swedish Idols battling this season, he's too slick for me but it's nice that an oldie can make it to the finals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAuxivm-gPE
Welcome back home jno!
Evening lovelies
Bit of a cold one .Awful day here .Rain and more rain and now it's turned really cold .
It's been one of those days here too,non stop phone ringing ,visitors ,nurse ,trying to write a couple of letters and catch up with some email but got nowhere fast .

Lol Woofy..I'm sure you're bum is nowhere near as big as the IOW .That made me laugh ,bit like my legs which look like Ordnance Survey maps :) Sounds as if Mr W is feeling much better .

Mr S is doing Ok and hopefully the clips come out tomorrow .He's eating a bit more too ,all small portions but they said little and often .He must be feeling better as I caught him rearranging the plates and stuff in the dishwasher this morning :) He's sloped off to bed now as he's still very tired .

Hope you are all OK and hope your friend will be Ok too Lofty .

Poor Kit ,you sound worn out .How long do take to do all this work ?

He's only going to be looking at your back Neti, keep yer leggings on :))

I'm off for a hot bath and bed .
Take care everyone, keep warm and sleep well xx
sigh... okay, the printer that stopped working has been dumped and a new one bought and, I think, properly installed. I have chased the bank up about why they didn't pay out one of my direct debits this month (they say it wasn't asked for, the recipient says oh yes it was...) My camera is still lost in the post, with Parcelforce saying it's at the delivery centre and the delivery centre saying oh no it isn't. The tennis elbow the consultant said to just leave as it would get better - hers did so mine will, which isn't necessarily joined up thinking. The luggage that a hotel gave away to another guest is still missing, preumably forever, so a bill for hundreds of pounds in lost underwear, lipsticks etc is being drawn up to send them. The malfunctioning phones have been fixed, I think. The tax return I will sign tomorrow. The MOT next week (the car's, not mine.)

Sheesh, I go away a few days and the whole place collapses. At least there was no tooth trouble while I was gone despite my having to chew my way through the most inedible meal I have ever tasted, cubes of rubber that was allegedly lamb.
Lol Shaney i know mine feels better when he starts to criticise my driving..its those little loving things isn't it? Has he had his sausage with potato salad yet?
His meeting today is in town and early so i have to start the getting up process with him at 7 instead of 08.30 so no kip for me this morning, I will jus go straight through, get him out the door at 08.45 then get some sleep..if I don't I'll be out cold by 4 and I have a haircut booked for 4 today.
btw it was MINUS 5!!!!!!!!! in the forest this morning
Oh jno, parcelforce is one of the worse carriers, they lose almost everything, if one believes all the complaints on tinternet, and they don't like coughing up compensation. My Henry came parcelforce with no problems, but once Henry was in Madrid he changed to a spanish carrier.

Morning all.
