All the gulls are flying South to roost and all the crows are flying North to roost. Why do they change places during the day?

The starlings are gathering and just flying around in flocks. I can't decide which direction they are heading but I bet they know where they're going. It's lovely to watch.

I don't know the answer to your question, Tilly, but I agree it's lovely to see the starlings at this time of year. A wonderful show. I must get out and walk on the beach a bit more.
