Lassie the osprey has laid her first egg of 2019 at a Perthshire nature reserve.

Lassie laid her first egg of the season at the Scottish Wildlife Trust’s Loch of the Lowes near Dunkeld on Thursday, April 4.

Great news, hope there's still another couple to come.

They reckon one over the weekend and another early next week. They didn’t waste any time this year :-)

That's what I was thinking Toorak, doesn't seem that long since she arrived back.
She just arrived back on 23 March so less than 2 weeks ago.

Lassie and Laddie are now incubating three eggs. Fingers crossed.
The first one was left unincubated for some time shortly after it was laid so it might not be viable - fingers crossed for the others. I think they are expected to hatch in a week or two.
