I have a nice brown Turkey fig tree in a pot. I get about six figs a year and very nice they are too. BUT I have never seen any flowers on my fig tree, just suddenly tiny figs appear. So...do figs flower and if so when and what do the flowers look like? and if figs don't flower, where do the tiny figs come from??

My garden with blocked drain

neti's garden

Neti I'm a Manilow fan as well. We have a lookalike who does Tribute nights to him at a pub near here and he really is very good. He was On Stars in Their Eyes on Tv. He didn't win but he was very good.

oh no neti is it really that bad? You shouldn't have sold that nice warm jumper I knitted you on Ebay should you? Have no fear I always have one standing done & by for emergencies

Hi yaVinny I dont need sherry to send me whappie (dont know how to spell it) that's normal for me....
Robinia it was that damned jumper that blocked the drain in the first place. I tried to flush it out of sight - shocking thing that it was to behold.

Literally just popped in to make sure you hadn't gone somewhere else without me. Have been out all day, to exciting places like the doctors and Morrisons, but also did grab a lunch out (which was very naughty because MrG and I ate out last night as well!!!). Am now off to the vets and then have to do some work.

Just want to say, that our Jude will soon have an invite from the Ed to join the team of AB techies!!! Well done our Jude.

Don't forget to leave a note if you disappear, although I would rather you wait for me. I really haven't the energy to run around the AB topics looking for a Vinnybego, donkey cart, etc.

Love to you all.

(It felt like spring here until about an hour ago and it has now turned quaite cold)

'quaite'!! I have turned into Hyacinth Bucket!
See ED...!! then all on the sherry....ih...ejud...He...He...(:)

Hi Gessoo thanks for the encouragement. I feel I've passed the entrance exam - only joking....but it is a good feeling to be able to do it.

Neti dont know if you noticed but you can get Andy singing on the link I put on.

Thanks jude, I'll try that in a minute.

At present the roof is leaking in lounge and kitchen(coming through the units) so am waiting me Mr N to arrive to tell me that there's nothing he can do. It's the flat roof that collects the water and then theres nowhere for it to go but down.

Oooh Neti I hope all is sorted out soon. I feel for you. I had a leak once from the tank in my roof into my airing cupboard. Ended up having to have a new tank.

I thought leaks were par for the course for oldies....

Don't worry neti - there's shipment of tena on it's way to soak up your deluge....

A couple of strange looking guys have just knocked at my door wanting to know whether I wanted to buy some cheap Becks.....think they had Biddycombe accents ooooh arrrrrr.......

evenin' all. I had a busy day today routing around in the attic....just knew that if I looked in here, then all my good intentions would go bang so I didn't.

Big sympathy for neti we rented a house in America with a septic tank. It was in New Jersey on the edge of the Great Swamp and it too was about 40 years old. The lady who rented it to us hadn't owned it long. She told us that it wasn't on the main sewer and was this okay and told us about the do's and don't of non-mains drainage. Then she said "Oh there's just one other thing, no-one knows where the septic tank is so if you find it do let me know!" We were very careful not to find a 40 year old septic tank, I can tell you!!

Are we on the move tomorrow and where to? I won't be able to join you on the figgybago as I've got to wait in for the gas man.

Robiniayou're always guaranteed a laugh on here!!!
