Fields of poppies

I want to take a photo of a field of red poppies for a photo competition. Has anyone noticed any in Buckinghamshire or Bedfordshire, UK?
Competition is "seeing red" - anyone got any other suitable suggestions?

How about a close up shot of a few flowers of fiery red azalea they are late this year so you should still get some or a macro of the red part of a red admirals wing or lots of red glass with the sun shining through including the reflections on a white base

ty nant do a red glass mineral water bottle and charity shops are a good source you could get the same effect with a full spectrum bulb in a spot lamp

Thanks Boo - this was taken in 1997 but I might take a ride out that way to see if there are any around that area.

If you head to Cadsden then it might be worth going via Wendover/Halton. There's a look out point at the top of the hills that lets you see for miles and miles. You might spot some poppy fields from there but it would be a great place to get some photo's just for the view itself.

or a still life of white items with a single red thing like maybe one strawberry..

Update on the poppies: there weren't any at Cadsden but we did see the pub that David Cameron allegedly left his daughter behind!

Had a few other ideas though - liked rowenwitch's idea of a plate of food so going to try a dish of blackberries with a raspberry on the top. Another idea was the rear lights of cars in a traffic queue - will have to take it from a bridge to get the best effect. I also work near the Redbull racing team head quarters, so there's another idea.

Once you start thinking there are lots of ideas!
