Morning neti...and erm, all?...I think it's a conspiracy by Royal Mail to make us all write real letters to each other again, they've sent everyone(?) a card with mailing dates on. I used to love letters...no one's even bothered to put a note in their xmas cards this year as they usually do.
Still coming down from the high from seeing George on the xfactor last night....no neti, not your george...but there was something about him that wasn't right. I think I need to parcel myself up & send myself to him...can someone stick the correct postage on me please, 3d should about cover it.

Oh Robi wish I could help, I do the eletrics in this house - but a freeview box is beyond me. We also have the same here but it's incorporated in my Samsung dvd recorder (with hard disc - not cheapskates you know!)

We don't seem to be having much luck with the electricals all round .After finally untangling my lights they don't work ! So that's another trip to the bloomin' shops .And I still haven't written my Christmas cards and letters either .
Hope you are all OK .Horrible weather here .Cold and raining . I feel a bit under the weather too .Got some bug or other .Upset tum,feel sickly etc . Bleugh . Must pull myself together . See you all later .

Evening, possums. Why are the Christmas threads more cloak-and-dagger than other biddy threads? (This thread doesn't come up when you click 'recent'.) Not complaining - just interested in biddy bank history:)
Swine report if anyone is considering going down the same path: The arm pain from the flu shot got a bit worse after the last time I wrote about it. The evenings were worse than the days, I was sure it would keep me awake (but it didn't). This was day 2 and day 3 - but I'm now on day 4 and don't feel a thing unless I touch the spot or raise my arm, in which case I notice there's a swelling.
Anyone tried the dry nail appliqué? http://www.youtube.co...ature=player_embedded I tried them yesterday and it really is as easy as it looks on the film and it really does look good - but the stench when you open the bag...! It's enough to give a whole band of biddies a headache, and to be sure I have one today. Sorry to say I won't be using them again (unless I get a balcony). I've found your mail Neti ..thank you .I get so much old junk in my inbox and it all comes into the main box and proper mail gets hidden amongst the junk .
I wish the junk would go to junk ( there is a sign for junk ) but it never does and I just delete stuff in one hit .I'm sick of being inundated with offers for Viagra, Bingo games , supermarket special offers and win a trip to Timbuktu etc .I'll think I'll forward them all to Vinny:0)
That nail polish looks interesting Kit .I've not seen that here. Not that my nails look much cop lately .They always seem to go dry and flaky in the cold weather .

Dying FOR a headache Kit? I'm dying from one...knocked me sideways yesterday & it's still there nagging away so I'm trying to what I can before it kicks in again...gonna be a 3 day job I think. How you can have so much pain & not die is beyond me but if someone told me the world was gonna end on xmas day I wouldn't give a monkey's to be honest, I'm fed up.

I'm sick of those junk mails that are links (so they say) to an electrical supplies company...apparently you order & pay & the goods never arrive...and I get bogus ones from 'Tiscali' saying they couldn't process my payment...no doubt they want bank details...but the real Tiscali now have the Talk Talk logo added. Thank goodness I had a brain cell left when they first started.
Right better go & stuff my face while I can....all I had yesterday was toast & yoghurt...grrrrr...Hope you feel better soon shaney.

Kit I loved the dog claw decorations but can't see my tw holding still for that!!!
Its a lovely frosty morning here, bit damp but properly cold, We took the boys ut early as usual and saw several shooting stars...the geminids meteorite shower are overhead atm and really worth a look if you are up early enough

Well this Christmas thread looks very jolly, NOT!! Are we all fed up!!?
I got all the rest of my bulbs in on Saturday because it was a lovely day. I was outside from 10.00am to 4.00pm with just a short break for lunch. Being outside in the garden lifts my spirits no end - however, if the weather forecasts are right the garden will be a no go area very shortly!!
As for George Robinia, both Mr LL and I remarked how tacky he looked. He was orange and shiny suited and looked very Vegas. We also cringed about how up himself he seemed, especially when he remarked that he wasn't surprised that the contestants were nervous having to perform with 'us'. For gods sake, give me Robbie any time!! (Having said that I love George's voice and he can't do anything wrong singing wise!!).
Good X factor result. The boy Joe has a lovely voice.

bonjour tout le monde... ah, la rentree de la gai Paree... to find the car won't start and has to be towed to the garage (£70) and a tooth is wobbling and my glasses aren't working (which as I understand my biology means it's actually my eyes that aren't working) and jno jnr's discovered that his renovations will cost £10,000 more than he planned. The good news is that I ate like a Bourbon pretender all week and still lost 2lb.
