YT's working for me so I listened to She moves... with Sinad O'Connor, Robinia - truly beatiful melody and lyrics both. I'm so p'd off with Van Morrison for not wanting to be on YouTube anymore, he's not doing himself any favours.
g'day...just whizzing by with some more advice...if you misplace something don't run around like a headless chicken looking for it, just swear & cry....haha, no...just tell yourself to remember where you left it, then do something else for a while & lo & behold! you do remember. Apparently your sub conscience knows where everything is...eventually. It works....phew!
...oops, <looks down>.. just remember not to go shopping in ya slippers....

quite right. So instead of panicking over where you left that bit of string, just say Omm for a while and it'll come back to you...

Hello my darlings - how the devil art thou all?
Yes, I did that very same thing last week. In the local shop the assistant has a rather large belly, so I said Oh are you pregnant, she said No, it's food, so I stuck out my belly and said Yes, I'm the same!! So embarassed - will learn to hold my tongue next time.
Now advice needed from you all + Tarquin and master s! What does the panel think of this wifi laptop?
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/2 19404
As it's a nice small size, doesn't play dvd's but can films can be watched from hard disc. Don't want to spend too much as it's for daughter and she's bound to "mislay" it somewhere. It's about230 - 270. Has Windows XP not Vista. Anyother recommendations and please name shops, thank you possums! x

I've forwarded your inquiry to Tarquers but it could be a while before he replies, he has got 2 lives you know.
haha, love the twine ball, the sad thing is I know where my bits of string are....and <whispers.... I keep a bit in my handbag>
advice no 654....
A man would do well to carry a pencil in his pocket and write down the thoughts of the moment. Those that come unsought for are commonly the most valuable, and should be secured, because they seldom return.
(very useful for a biddy..) by Francis Bacon, whoever she was...
<ducks as jno flings Encyclopedia>....

My advice to myself is take this ruddy machine ,pull all it's wires out, take it up the garden and jump on it .It's playing up again . I keep losing the connection . All I keep getting is not found try again .Bah ..it's taken me ages to get it going and it keeps making funny whirring noises .
Don't know much about laptops Neti although we have an Acer which Picky got from Ebuyer .Can't remember how much it was but he seems to get on OK with it unlike his mother who can't even manage this other bldy thing .He gets a lot of stuff from Ebuyer .He's on his travels but I'll ask him when he turns up .
I know you can play films on it and music .It has built in speakers but the music sounds tinny .Well ..it does to me !
I don't get on with it because of the keyboard .I find it hard to type on with my sausage fingers .

Afternoon, possums and dawgs. Is Robinia losing it? All this advising and highbrow quoting...? Or could it be she's rehearsing for her new job as oracle down at the Westfield shopping centre...? knows all tells all This is my favourite Bacon:
Therefore if a man look sharply and attentively, he shall see Fortune; for though she be blind, yet she is not invisible. The way of fortune is like the Milken Way in the sky; which is a meeting or knot of a number of small stars; not seen asunder, but giving light together.
...and your old Winston expressed it like this: It is a mistake to try to look too far ahead. The chain of destiny can only be grasped one link at a time.
Sorry I can't be of much help in the laptop discussion Neti, I always ask around myself. Have you posted a question over at Technology? My laptop is a Sony Vaio VGN-NR11S/S. It's very basic but didn't cost a lot and I've dropped it on the floor once and it didn't even go Ouch... I agree with Shaney - the keyboard I can manage but I don't get along with the touch pad so I've got an extern mouse, an extern loudspeaker, a notebook stand to raise the screen up and an extern keyboard as the notebook stand places the laptop at such an angle that its own keyboard can't be used... But if you do want to get your daughter a good, basic, cheap laptop mine's okay

BING BONG neti
quote from Tarquin...complete with 2 kisses
Personally i'd go for the Advent 4211 Netbook because its the only one that comes with Microsoft Windows (the second has Linux instead)
it also has a better screen (10" instead of 7")...

and I found a suitable quote for you...
"What dreadful hot weather we have! It keeps me in a continual state of inelegance."
Jane Austen...
"Most vegetarians I ever see looked enough like their food to be classed as cannibals."
Finley Peter Dunne...(who he?)

Here's another quote about drink Vinny
"I feel sorry for people who don't drink - cos when they get up in the morning that's as good as they're going to feel all day!"
Frank Sinatra
My son once gave me a mole skin note book and I put any quotes I find amusing or interesting in it.
Talking about lap tops, mine is about 5 years old and is an Iridium and I've never seen another like it anywhere but I think you can get them on the net. I expect they are much lighternow than mine. It ways a ton compared.

You missed this one, Vinny: "Alcohol is necessary for a man so that now and then he can have a good opinion of himself, undisturbed by the facts." / Finley Peter Dunne / whooooosh>>>>>>>

Veggies look like what they eat...? checks in the mirror - yep, I definitely look like a SWEDE
Speaking of nothing, I've witnessed jno's paddy story from yesterday in real life. I was escorting an elderly lady somewhere and we were waiting to cross the street. The traffic lights changed, giving us the go-ahead, but several car drivers were ignoring that, just keeping on driving. Little old lady shoots out into the street nevertheless, shouting "It will be their own fault if they run me over!" Good point, but personally I wouldn't go that far to prove it.
Hi Jude, what a luxury it is to have you with us two days in a row. Keep'em coming from that mole skin book, what else have you got in there.
