An 'ignore this poster' button.

It works on a lot of other sites. Once clicked, any posts by that individual do not appear on your screen, making their abuse fruitless.

Even some people with 50 names could be easily 'ignored'.

Just a thought, easy to implement.

The abusers can type anything they like, where, and whenever they like. The ones that choose not to read it, won't have to, everyone's happy.

You could even eradicate the rather useless report function from here. It's not like you do anything about reported questions, is it?

Not sure if I'm allowed to mention it, but it seems that anything goes on here lately.
The ignore thing was running on a version of Exochat, and to their credit, it worked very well.

Maybe too well, as everyone was ignoring everyone else and nobody knew what the hell was going on. lol

At least here, there are only a small handful of people that I'm sure would be ignored. ;-)

I agree it's a great idea, my pessimism stops me from believing it will ever be implemented.

In the past this place was run by people with a conscience, but alas no longer.

Money seems to be the motivating factor now.
