who burnt the toast? very strong aroma outside when I went to peg (yesterday's) washing out...& when I went to fetch it back in ....tut....looks like being another soggy day in paradise.

I lost interest, as always, after the first handful of 'songs'...how did the Rubovians do this year?

HI All Hope you are all ok. Wet and windy over here. I'm glad I didn't stop in and watch that rubbish last night. Miserable aren't I, just cant stand the programme. Went to see my brother play guitar with 2 of his friends at a local pub. A real 'jam' session. Loads of improvisation and fun. It was the landlord's birthday. Had a little contratemps with a man who was standing behind me, he kept touching me with his foot on the back of my leg, I was livid and I turned round and said in a very firm but quite voice if he did it again I was going to pour my drink over his head. Got in about midnight then watched Greys Anatomy. American soap junk but ok now and again.
Not going out tonight going to watch the box. Off to cook my lunch now ..... Bye.... :o)

spent most of yesterday counting krugerrands and such... An old friend of ours died and left us her coin collection, which she used to say she'd insured for �100,000, though I had me doubts. Sure enough I was going through it all... A lot of it came from a respectable dealer that sells you 'collections', eg 20 silver coins depicting the Queen Mother. They're all usable coins, and I expect the silver in them is quite valuable, but they come from places like Congo and Somaliland, and it's obviously a bit of a racket because nobody else is going to want to buy them. And the rest came from another dealer in Essex who seems to have sold her some nice, really old gold coins in good condition - but grossly overcharged her for them, maybe three or four times what anyone else would have.

I think she did this because she wanted some investment she could sell off if she ever had to go into a home. She didn't need it as she died in her sleep (in her 80s) and never found out the truth. But I must say I'm still cross at these $*!X&! barrow boys sucking money out of her credit card for years. All perfectly legal, of course; buyer beware. But I wish she'd told us what she was up to. It only took a minute's googling the dealer's name to realise what was going on. Grrr!

Lead singer Ola Salo might feel right at home in your closet - word on the street is he's yet to come out as a heterosexual. He claims to swing both ways but his slanderers say that's just a pose and that he's in the habit of hiding his girlfriends. Who knows.

LMAO at the foot man, Jude! I think I've met him. When you turned around, did he look something like this? You yourself look bright eyed and bushy tailed, very much the way an old school friend of mine looked when we met again later in life. She too was/is always energetic.

Yep, Dolly, it's migraines, I've had'em since my early teens, it's just that with changing hormone levels I don't really "understand" them anymore, i.e. what sets them off. Earlier on in life it used to be red red wine and/or Saturdays (as in tension relief) but lately they just hit me. Yours always last for several days, Robinia? Mine last 'only' one, but I feel wobbly on my legs the day after, drop things and smash cups and glasses. Day 1 I can't keep even a teaspoonful of water down. "The temple of china" - that's witty, jno; doesn't work in Swedish but I'll be thinking of it anyway during my next bout - what an honour for you, eh.

I love this, I think it's being used in a tv ad, I just heard a few notes from another room as I was trying to find something interesting in the fridge...it's quite fitting with all the water around...

Hello Everyone The 'currant bun' is out. After all that rain at last it's decided to make an appearance.
Lovely music Robinia have it playing in the background while I'm doing this.Having a quiet day today. Looking forward to the Rams 2nd leg with Southampton tomorrow night. You've not mentioned it Vinny I wonder why. It's not like you not to say something. Thanks for your kind comments about my piccy I never have thought I was photogenic. Going to see Pam Ayres on Thursday for a bit of culture Lol! I don't know about a whole evening of her but we'll see. Going to get my tea now see you later, take care all. :o)

Shaney would have jumped straight in that pool and I would never have got him to come out ! He was rather sparky today though and we had a short game of football in the garden between showers.I kick the ball and he hobbles after it and stands there with it and I hobble after him and stand there .
I hope that dealer wasn't the one who ripped my brother off Jno ..he is a numismatist and has had some duff stuff from a coin dealer in in Essex .

think the suns trying to come out..turned out lovely yesterday...went in my brick built shed I build yonks ago and the roof had bin leaking...so I put a new one on..which took me ages....but now Ive decided to turn it into a small summerhouse come beach hut.Bought a couple of georgian doors from the recycling center...and Im going to cover the interior and the outside with wood.Built a veranda..Ive got lecky in there,and a fridge fer me beer...(:O)
hiya jude....ive got me eye on derby..and wish them the best for tonight..F.A cup final saturday..and The European cup next week...YO..! hi robinia..you and yer bloomin phoebe snow....I found one site that played 29 seconds of it...then I signed up to this other site...and I put in a million user names and they had all been taken...even the rude one's at the end hehe..!so I gave up..did you know it was a name of a train?
