Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Now that JK Rowling has officially named her next book who do you think is the half-blood prince?? I initally thought it could possibly be something to do with Neville Longbottom, but have since remembered that both his parents were wizards therefore he is full blood. Anyone any suggestions as to who it could possibly be??

making ron the HBP, and saying his parents arent really his parents isgoing to make the storytoocomplex, and eventually stupid,like the sope operas makig stupid things upthat dont even make sense to the story line.

My guess would probably be someone in the DA or Hagrid. We all know that Hagrid is a prince. We rule out Harry and Ron, because Harry already has the spotlight, and Ron is pureblood. I don't know about y'all, but this crazy thought just entered my mind. What if it's Dobby? lol sorry *allows tomatoes to be thrown*. Well, the answer or clues may lie in the 2nd Book, but we all must remember that JKR makes mountains out of molehills with each new book from the previous books. For example, the room of requirement was mentioned to the world in GOF, but it wasn't until the 5th book that it was renowned. Or it could be something like Scabbers, from the first 2 books, made a huge part in the 3rd. Who's all in the DA that hasn't had a huge part and that's male. Can't say Neville, he's huge now...not even Fred and George (pureblood anyway). Ginny's boyfriend? I want to continue on with this. Gatene

people have been saying that JKR introduced the half blood prince in chamber of secrets, but on her website i read that originally it was but she edited it out because it was to much info for the second book, so sorry but you wont find anything and its not harry tom riddle or voldermort, i think its a small character like maybe colin creevy.

I think that the half-blood prince is Luna.I presume s/he's actually a wizard and not a witch.(well, just a wild-guess)

I think that the half blood prince could possibly be dudley cause when you come to think of if harry's mom was his aunt and she was a witch and you never. or you never know if the reason that vernon hates witches and wizards if because he himslef is one.????? does it not make sense (because his mom might have cheated on his dad with a wizard therefore vernon was born)i say it could be dudley

i was reading a book named cirque du freak and the main character is a half vampire and half human(half blood!)and the character became a prince so maybe harry and him helped each other in the 6th book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe Hermione is actually a man, and SHE'S the half-blood prince. No one has thought of that yet. Its not like J.K. Rowling would be against putting some sex changes in her books. Ah? Think about it... it almost makes TOO much sense...

WELL,the HBP has ben introduced in COS so it must be Tom mervolo Ridlle or Giny.But J.K. said that she wanted to call CoS HBP so HBP was the character that the whole book was about.IT IS 100 PERCENT TOM RIDLLE!!!she said it isn`t Voldemort,but in CoS Dobby said that Voldemort and Ridlle are not actualy one person.

HELLLLOOOOOOOO! ITS HAGRID! Think about it, you're all saying, "Half Bloods, pure bloods" like in Harry's condition and on the wizarding mainframe. But what about Hagrid! We dont know much about his Mother, the giantess, he's half blood. Part Giant and part human. I think its Hagrid. crazy.....mudbloods!

I have read that the HBP is someone from gryffindor, which (i think on purpose) rules out Snape, Kakaroff, VOLDEMORT A-K-FREAKING-A TOM RIDDLE! But then it could be harry, JKR has said its not him. So that leaves me with 3 ppl Seamus, Hagrid, or Remus Lupin.

I think that the half blood prince may be Albus Dumbledore cus he is the one who is protecting the muggle-born,and he is the person lord voldemort always fear

The HP books can be considered children's stories...but let's not forget all the violence from the end of PoA on into all the events in the OotP. 

Even though I'd love the idea that Dudley could be the HBP, I don't think it would be possible,  If  JKR did indeed say that the HBP was from Gryffindor.  

I'm sticking with Hagrid on this one.  Of course it could be a new character that she will introduce in the 6th book.  The only ones we can officially rule out are  all females, Harry, Voldemort, and of course (no surprise here), Tom Riddle.   

Sorry, but I say it's Hagrid, all the way.

I know who it is!!! The half-blood prince is none other than..... HERMIONE!!!!! Yes ladies and gentlemen, you though hermione is a girl but she's actually a GUY!!!! She's even more she's a prince!! lol

Seriously though i think the half blood prince would be the new lion-like caracter...he s got to be like Gryffindor s heir or something (just guessing though)....
