Now that JK Rowling has officially named her next book who do you think is the half-blood prince?? I initally thought it could possibly be something to do with Neville Longbottom, but have since remembered that both his parents were wizards therefore he is full blood. Anyone any suggestions as to who it could possibly be??

Well personly i disagree with some of u about JKR thinking Tom Riddle different from Voldemort because she doesnt think that, she told everyone more clearly than day that Tome Riddle and Voldemort or the same person, and whats up with that post that someone said Harry might turn Voldemort back into Riddle, lol , now thats funny, listen Harry cant do that because theyre the same person only Voldemort was the real old one and Tom Riddle was a memory of the same person of Volemort only a younger volemort as i know a lot of u know this and think im stupid for saying this but i just wanted to make things clear for the people that that they were two different people. personally i think Lord Volemort id the half blood prince and that i think JKR is just tryin to trick us so that it doesnt screw up the suprise.

i dont think so sincee the HBP is the heir to gryffindor. I think the person who there descriping is Godric though, but like the Heir to slytherin isnt actually salazar i think Godric isnt the HBP and someone else is
Does anyone think that half-blood could meen that they are half Gryffindor and half Slytherin?  Even though I thought this up, I still think it's Hagrid.  Can't wait till HBP comes out!!!!!
Maybe it will be Gryffindors heir and they will find The Chamber of Not-SO-Secret Secret Gryffindor Suff!
According to me it could be Seamus Finnigan as she has mentioned he is a half blood. he became enemies with harry but now that he is a friend he may have an imp role to play
But Prince of what?
let's see hmm its the Half-Blood Prince, so maybe i wonder he could be a prince of Half-Bloods?
I agree with magic-freak so if dumbledore likes halfbloods or they like him then it could be his son.also i know that the 7th book is called A touch on heaven.I dreamt it
i aree with magic_freak so maybe it is albus dumbledores son or his brother Aberforth's son.i also i had a dream where book 7 is called A touch on heaven.could you confirm that please?
Not necesarily, uber_panda. First there has not been a Prince Of Wizards in the books.  Much less a Prince of Half-Blood wizards.  I think we are talking about a person who is a Prince and is half-blood.  We know what 'half-blood' means (in the wizard world or in the giant world - and could there be half-blood house elf?) but who could be a prince and a half-blood at the same time.  And Prince of what?  What country?  What people? I don't think it is Prince of Half-Bloods but a prince who is half-blooded.

yer honestly its a gd point pajama girl.

tha title doesn't say HARRY POTTER AND THE PRINCE OF HALF BLOODS.

the title doesn't say that it can be perseived as tha prince of tha half bloods but there is no proof for it

that has been tha first gd post for a while man

i aplude her thinkin cuz no1 has thought of that as im aware of.

i understand, uber_girl, that u anoyed wid tha other comments we heard from but this 1 was clealy hought out. i have 2 be truthfull that wen i first heard that comment i was lyke wtf but then it just pooped into my head. lol

i think every one is forgeting a main character. Seamus he is a half blood, in Chamber of secrets he quite clearly states this. I think this i sthe clue that jk rowling is hinting at on the harry potter website.

i like the idea of mark evans but it isnt going to be his, son they would have to back track far to much.

i could also be the creevy brothers there is very little known about these boys. but remeber he was attackled in the second book, making him a half/mud blood.

It quite clearly isnt dumbledore, because he is a true blood.

yo soz all

i sed sumtink so dumb that i cant believe i sed.

"the prince of wot"

and i ageed wid that COMMENT lol

Mitzie had an interesting line of thought "Maybe Ron's parents aren't who we think they are!"  We know that there is a muggle orphanage because Tom Riddle
mentioned it in CoS.  There have been wizard wars,
werewolves, Banshees, etc.  We know that but do hear about anyone saying 'I was adopted'.  Harry's birthdate is July 31st.  We know that Harry survived Voldemort's attach the week before Bonfire Night (Nov 5th).  Vernon indicates Harry is about 1 year old so Harry
must have been 1 yr 2 months old on 'the night'.
Could Harry have a brother or sister?  Based upon that time frame yes.  Is there anyone around who is 1 year younger than Harry and at Hogwarts?  When is Ginny's birthdate?  Ginny has red hair - like Lilly.  What if the prophecy is about 2 people not just one?

i don't reallz know who it could be but i would guess that its either harry ron or someone new... but not sure!!

I can't remember which book it was in but I remember Dumbledore or someone mentioning how Harry came out of some mess like a prince. I also wondered after the end of the last book where Dumbledore told Harry that he loved him so much he would sacrifice others to save him and it made me wonder if Harry is not somehow related to Dumbledore. I have nothing to base this on but I can't figure out why Dumbledore loves Harry so much more than the others there.

1)I think the book definitely will tell about Godric Gryfindor and any of his descendants. 2)Hagrid could be a possible canidate, yes he is half-human and half-giant, and the new clue from book six kinda reminds me of Hagrid, the bushy eyebrows and wild mane. What if it is his human side that is more important? Like his father was a descendant of Godric Gryfindor. This could be the new spin on the story, everyone always looks at his giant side and never what his human side could be. 3)I think there could be more than 1 descendant of Godric Gryfindor. While Slytherin is more choosy, wanting just pure-bloods, they reduced their numbers until their was just 1 heir to slytherin, Voldemort. I say this because in the books it points out that most wizards alive today are half-blooded and that wizards might have gone extinct if they had not mingled. So we know that Gyrfindors, Ravenclaws, and Hufflepuffs are not choosy or against mingling their blood with muggles; therefore there may be many desendants to Godric Gryfindor. My best bets are on Dumbledore and Harry's Family--the Potter side of course. 4)Snape has yet to fully repay his debt to Harry in trying to save him. I know all about his muttering in book 1, but if you remember that others have fell from their brooms and even Harry did later, that a fall during a match probably would not have killed Harry; then it reasonable to assume that Snape still has a debt to pay for his life that James Potter saved. This may come into play in book 6 or 7. 5)Also, shouldn't Harry inheriet any of Sirius's belongings, like his house or motorcycle now that Sirius is dead or gone from the world?
6)I have always wondered where did all the gold come from in Harry's vault? I know it says his parents, but how did they make it when other familys like the Weasleys are poor? So my theory is that either Potter had money to begin with like royalty, or that because Harry was so famous, people sort of donated to the Harry Potter fund after his parents were killed and Voldemort gone. Please let me know what you think :)
7) I think I have discovered something about the ending of book 7 that tells me why J.K.R. does not plan to write any books about them after this. It is in the very first book. I'll find the page and report back later, but it says on the first few sentences to a chapter near the middle to end of the book: Harry would never forget the events --or thing--in the long years to come. <br> So that obviously means that Harry would survive many more long years, as in most of the books, or at least the first seven, so no astonishing death to Harry! Also, many authors who use this as foreshadowing, use it in books that are told long after the fact. Like possibly at the end of book seven we will find out that Harry is very old--80-100 years, or Dumbledores age --real OLD, or that others are telling Harry's story after he has died--like Hermione or Ron wrote the books about their best friend's life after he died, or after he defeated his greated enemy and left to find more adventure and has never returned. Anyway, the point is it sounds like a good deal of time has past since these events actually happened, and so J.K. could possibly then try to tell more about what happened after book 7. But I think since it is a kids series, then she will probably say after the biggest defeat in book 7, there are no more big, bad evil doers to cause trouble and therefore a reason for suspense in another book :)
