Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Now that JK Rowling has officially named her next book who do you think is the half-blood prince?? I initally thought it could possibly be something to do with Neville Longbottom, but have since remembered that both his parents were wizards therefore he is full blood. Anyone any suggestions as to who it could possibly be??

I think it might be a new character as someone has already said. Or it might be Hagrid because, we find out in Harry Potter 4 that he's half giant- Never know!

Mark evans is mentioned in the OotP some where in the begining of the book, he is the kid dudley beats up and brags about to his friends even though evans is on 9[?]

I really think the HBP is Dudley! We know that magic can skip generations (Lily's parents weren't magical), so Petunia probably has the magic "gene" and passed it on to Dudley. I think the theory makes a lot of sense. Dudley is already thought of as a "prince" by himself and his parents.

Look at the name Harry Potter and  half blood prince it is two people i think from the title but at my school some say it will be him at the end but lead us to think that it isn't him some werid *#%! like that

I belive that it is voldamort his father was a mugle if ou dont remmeber it sayes so in the 2nd book and if you are not a reader you can wacht the move. Voldamort says " do you think i would keep my mugle fathers nsme." he says it to harry when they are in the chamber.when he is their as the memorie tom riddle.

   I think that the half blood prince might be hagrid. At first i thought that it could be hermione, but then she would be the "half blood princess"

The Half-Blood Prince is not Voldemort! J.K. Rowling already said it is not Tom Riddle and Voldemort is Tom Riddle!I think it might be Neville because just because his parents are wizards doesn't mean his grandparents are,so therefore he could be a half-blood. If you think about it HAGRID is a half-giant,half wizard so he could be the half blood prince.

J.K.Rowling clearly stated that the HBP is not Harry nor Voldemort.So Tom Riddle isn't the HBP either because Voldemort and Tom Riddle are the same person!Remember the diary, Tom preserved himself as a memory in that diary. Tom Riddle,or at least the one in "Chamber" is not real,he's the memory of Voldemort when he was ay Hogwarts.Don't you remeber?,Tom Marvolo Riddle mixed up is Lord Voldemort.So therefore the HPB is not Harry,Voldemort or Tom Riddle.

IT CAN BE MARK EVANS BECAUSE IN THE FIRST BOOK WHEN MCGONAGLE AND DUMBLDORE ARE GOING TO DROP OFF HARRY MCGONAGLE SAYS"Dumbledore aren't there any relitives of Harry's that are magical that he can live with?and Dumbledore said "it is best for him to grow up with muggles because it'll be better for him to grow up away from it all,to be famous and not even remember how he became famous would be terrible for him,it'll be better to keep it away from it all until he is ready.

In answer to Pensieve-Like you said in the second book that Dobby told HArry it had nothingh to do with Voldemort. But it turned out to be Tom Marvolo Riddle a.k.a. Voldemort. So if Tom Riddle and Voldemort are the same person then he cant be the HBP because JKRowling said that it isnt Harry nor Voldemort.And Harry killed the memory of Tom Riddle.So there is no Tom Riddle anymore besides the present day Voldemort that returned in the forth book.

I think the half blood prince could be Hagrid....half wizard/giant. It's not harry or voldemort. I cna't really think of any other important characters it could be, unless someone new is introduced...

I think the Halfblood Prince be FELIX FELICIUS.

Go to the JK Rowling website now, as soon as you can, and click on the black ring thing. You will see the DO Not Disturb sign has been taken off the door. Wait for a while and eventually Peeves will come along, write on the mirror and knock the vase over. This will knock a few gold keys out, that fly around in front of the door. Grab them and try them in the lock - eventually you will get the right one. Then open the door to see a desk. Click and drag the desk draw handle to open it, and take out the magnifying glass. Put it over the script on the desk and you will get to see the names of 3 of the chapters in Harry Potter and The Halfblood Prince. You will then understand why I have suggested Felix Felicius as the Halfblood Prince.

 

But then again.....would JK make it that obvious? I think noo.....

  I must say that the prince is really Hagrid. In the 4th book, when Rita Skeeter writes the article exposing Hagrids mother as a giant, I said that Hagrids mother was the Queen of Giants that terrorized Britain. Hagrid, one of her 2 sons, would be named Prince. Since Hagrids father was a wizard it would make Hagrid a half blood. This would make Hagrid..."The Half Blood Prince".

its obviously voldemort or someone realated to him. he's half blooded so if he had a brother he would be half blooded as well. The wizards in the U.K. do not have a king, but, if you remember hermine's crush, Krum, who was more then mentioned in the last two books. Krum is from, well i dont remeber which country, but perhaps there is a prince in the country he's from who could be related to voldemort, and perhaps it is infact Krum himself.....

Ummm... i think the theory of Harry having a twin brother isn't very likely the novels aren't fricken soap opera's but the evans kid seems like he could be important, like in the first book rowling writes about sirius and he turned into a key character...intil he died but anywho if it was up to me...I'd be the prince cause im the coolest person ever!

hi again *Gilderoy Lockheart. he played a big role in CoS, we dont kno if hes half blooded or not, but he does think himself a prince. Although it mentions in a latter book (i dont recall which, i think 4?) that he's basically in an insane asylum, we cannot rule him out because he was mentioned agin and its possible he could recover. *in chapter 8 in CoS it talks about Sir Nearly Headless Nick's "death day party", for all we know he could have been a half blooded prince while he was alive. He's a ghost so he could be a spy? Also a the end of book 5 he talks to Harry about death and why some choose to go on and some choose to be ghost, perhaps he stayed behind for a reason.....? *COULD MRS. NORRIS BE AN ANIMAGUS???? *it could be cornelius Fudge chapter 14 in CoS is named after him ( the chapter where he comes to take hagris to jail) we kno that Fudge works for the ministy, and has always doubted Harry. we dont know if hes half blooded or not, but its somthin to think about. *Justin Flinch-Fletchy was mentioned in the second book. his last name implies that he perhaps has a step father, his real father could have been a muggle. *Duddle D. could very well be THPB as well, for all we know aunt petunia could be a witch, she may have not wanted to go to Hogwarts or her anger towards witches and wizards could be because she maybe got expeled from hogwarts. we already know Duddly is spoiled as a prince, the only thing missing is that he wasnt really mentioned that much in CoS. *Last but not least, Tom Riddle. Personally I think he's exactly the same as Voldemort and cannot be THBP, but he did play a large role in CoS. in CoS he came back as himself, about 20 yrs younger, could it be possible that he could do the same in this book, because then technically he wouldnt be Voldemort. NEhooooo thats justs some stuff to think about, my best bet on who the HBP is would have to be...... DUddly
