I love writing with my fountain pens, using parchment paper & think brown ink compliments it well. However, I can't find a retailer who sells brown bottled ink or ink cartridges. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

I used to use brown bottled ink. The make was (I think this is spelled right) Quink. I think that's part of the Parker range? I had to shop around a little but in the end I found it in one of the bigger W H Smiths.

Jules001 - thank you so much for the Sepia site info,  that's just what I've been looking for!

Also, stoo_pid, all my fountain pens are Parker & I currently use Quink blue ink & Parker cartridges. I shall now search the web for bigger branches of W H Smith, to see if they still supply brown ink/cartridges too.

T hank you both again.

you're welcome - just hope you don't live up to your name :)

Very humorous Jules, yes I do have plenty of blotting paper on hand just in case!

I'm just going to peruse that site again, as I love anything sepia - I think I was born in the wrong era!

I got hold of some rotring cartridges at an online pen/ink shp name of Blots.  Very nice place, they even send you a lovely seemingly hand made catalogue.  You can see their site at www.blotspens.co.uk/ Hope that's some use to you. Smudge shops at Blots-that'd make a nice headline.

Thank you raindog, nice to know others share my passion for brown ink, etc. I'll take a look at that, although it sounds like the website on the the first reply from Jules001? Thanks again.

There's the problem with not reading all other posts first. Sorry.
