Big Smile and a Hug

Good Morning to you Woodelf.

It's bright and sunny here in Norfolk this morning which has given me the feel good factor. I shall be thinking about your Stony Road as I walk down the path along the river to the town later on. There are trees each side of the path and the River Wensum is very high at the moment.

Hope to catch up with you soon.

Love Lottie

To Ethel

I hope you are less grumpy today! I shall look at your postings on the site to find out. Smile.
Big big hugs to you Woodelf and to Ethel and to LoftyLottie2. What a wonderful post + good to see so many upbeat/positive individuals here. Loved the website woodelf- made me smile very much! The world needs more individuals like your good self that is for certain. One of my heroes is the late phenomenal Helen Keller- even with all her numerous challenges she inspired/continues to inspire hundreds of thousands of individuals- she was a rare + special lady. Big smiles and hugs, Bea :-)
Good morning Bea. Nice to see you.

Smile
Good to see you too LoftyLottie2 :-) ;-) Hope you are okay this fine Thursday morning. The sun is shining here, too :-)
Big hugs, Bea (i)
I am indeed grump free today, thank you all. I get grumpy when I am getting close to my holiday, because there is always so much to do; and I am grumpy when I come home from my holiday because there is always so much to do. Smile.

I go away a week on Sunday. I'm looking forward to the sunshine, that's for sure. I won't go out in the snow or ice.

Good morning!
Good morning Ethel :-) How exciting that you will be in the warm sun, soon. What country are you travelling to? Also, know that feeling, the preparation before a holiday tires me out. Also, very tired after a holiday as always much to do. Can relate to what you are sayiing big time. Enjoy your holiday Ethel . Big smiles and big hugs to you, Bea(neurologically challenged yet mostly upbeat)
Ethel. I want to go somewhere warm and sunny. Do you need a Ladies Companion? I can be very sweet and obliging if I really try.

Hi Chicho xxx I've heard of little house on the prarie, but have never seen it, so how does it remind you of me...or me of it...smile - and what or who the heck is monty?...is it some kind of shorthand for something else...smile and xxxs.

Gud mawning Ethel...smile...and eye hope yew are dewing sew dis morning...smile...az you kan sea, i cann spel pritti gud but my speech sistim duz let mee no sumtimz if a wird iz spelt rongli, but aye doo like two play havok wiv my spelchequer now hand agen wen i'm sending emails or doin wirk in werd prossessing...smile...but as you can see orl of dat woz just a joek...smile...no, my spelling is okay, but the speech system does give me the nudge now and again when it pronounces something as it sees it and it is up to me to hear it if it is spelled (spelt) incorrectly...but don't you just love getting your own back on these lumps of plastic and metal and things; they've come to believe that they've got minds of their own...smile.

One more thing on the speech Ethel, I too am enjoying Whitechapel, but this gobby speech thing still says the word whitechapel as if it doesn't have the 'h' after the 'c'...so I just go into the word and check it out.
After last night's disappearance of my answer, I know better now to break up my threads rather than write a long one, so more in a bit...smile...if you can bear it; smile.

Lottie, I do beg your pardon, I've been calling you Lofty, please forgive me.
When you go on your walk today, please could you let me know what colours you've seen...it sounds nice where you live and I'm always open for fresh ideas for painting, even though I've got thousands in my head already, but those need thinking about and how to do them now...not when I could see them; so anything which you see Lottie could help me...smile.

Hello Beatrice, it's nice to meet you too and Thank You for your kind words - and indeed I am an individual, right out there on my own...smile...only joking folks!

I'm going to miss you when you go on holiday...we all are...but you have a great time...agreed?
I'm going to Tenerife for a month - I go every winter, part holiday and part business.

I have Reynaud's so it's good to get out of the cold. I most certainly will have a good time.

My balcony is right on the sea front, so I can watch the porpoise and dolphins in the bay, and the fishing boats. It's east facing so I see the sun rise in the mornings. Lovely

I can just about see the nudist beach....if I use binoculars.

I agree with yu Ethel about Ronnie H and his music for Last of the Summer Wine...my all-time favourite comedy programme...but now and again, I find that a flute is sometimes played a little too piercingly....and that's not because my ears are now more acute because my eyes have gone on the blink...smile - I don't think they are anyway, I just use them more...still, his music is part of the show.
I wish you could see how perfectly timed to the action on the screen is to the music. It is sublime.
Question Author
Ah, I should have said Ethel that I've only (only??) been totally blind since 1979 and before then i WATCHed Last of the Summer Wine from the very first and yes, Ronnie's music seemed almost to orchestrate every little twitch or raise of the eyebrow...along with all the rest of the "action"....smile.
I was aware you lost your sight in 1979, but surely you were too young to appreciate Summer Wine before then?

Huge grin....

Oh Ethel!...flattery will get you anywhere and everywhere and to save you asking I'm 59 going on 60, so yes I was able to appreciate LOSW and I have videos and DVDs of the later series too...but sadly, very sadly I think LOSW is not the same any more...maybe to the passing of vital characters or even because the genius who is Roy Clarke has used some of the "visual jokes" as in earlier series...and I thought I'd never say that about LOSW. I do prefer the Clegg, Compo and Foggy series, the early ones with Michael Bates and some of the Seymour Utterthwaite ones...but that's just me...smile. Must go for my tea...as we say up North, even though I'm no longer up there...sad smile...see, I can do them too...smile.
:)

I have all the very early LOTSW - Michael Bates was a treasure. I expect you know he was also in It Ain't Half Hot, Mum as Rangi Ram, probably the last white person to 'black up' for a tv show.

There was more bad language and lots of smoking in those episodes - who'd have thought such a programme would have 'cleaned up' over the years? Nobody smokes in it now. The only character I really can't abide is Aunty Wainwright, even though I am a big fan of the actress.

I watched Moses Jones on Monday night, mainly with my eyes closed. Very violent but still enjoyable
