I'm looking for a new hair styler . My old Nicky Clarke has given up .
Well ,let's say it went ..bang ,and I jumped abut a lot :)
What I want is a hot brush type thing ..not a straightener ..just one of those ones that give your hair a bit of bounce . Like a blow dry brush but electric .
Any recommendations......thank you .

You are all very talented as I will be when I finally get round to composing my epic poem, but that's for another day!
Morning all. Normal day, bright and sunny, am just filing up the pool as the sun evaporates it! Mr N is have meatballs and pasta tonight, so I may be divorced by tomorrow, but he loved pasta once!!!

Dull, grey and damp day, I'm dull, probably grey and peed off too.
I'm getting very annoyed with the way some of the newbies are being treated on here. If it's a normal looking question it should be treated as such...if they turn out to be a troll then they get banned. Some of them take flippant remarks in good humour but I'm not sure I would if I was a newcomer.

I've had my 2 appointments today and that's it til next Tuesday thank goodness. Had my routine bone scan today.
Has it been damp Robi I really didn't notice. I was at the hopsital from 10.30 to 2.30. I'll was fed up and glad to get home. And starving hungry. I just chucked some veg in the steamer a piece of frozen fish in the oven and a tablespoon of Tartar sauce all over it. My filler-upper was a banana and creme fraiche. Anyway I'm signing off now as I have a visitor tomorrow who's coming to watch Derby play with me so I'll say oight oight all and I probably will be back on Sunday evening. Have a good weekend all of you and thanks all for being there. No matter what happens I'll always be in touch.

Well nearly morning all really....
Nothing exciting to report .Picky turned up with his company accounts and Mr S has been in his element sorting it all out .So they've been hogging the computer while I mooched around and made a sheperds pie .
It's been a dull damp day here .
Lol Robinia ..I'm wondering what he's going to buy next !

evening all, wafting in from sunny Spain, and it really was sunny too, not floody like down in the south. Had a fab time at the Googleheim gallery, which I thought I was going to hate, not being a fan of the exploded tin can look, but instead I fell instantly in love with it. Bilbao is a lovely city. I wish I knew what I had to eat but I cannot speak Basque or Spanish and those seem to be the only local choices. So it was mostly tapas morning noon and night. plus some helados. I do speak helados fluently, but I decided against the duck liver ice cream.
Anyway, now I am back home and it is pouring. I would put it into poetry but I have not quite got to grips with Basque verse structure. Is it itx before kek except after ihuerra?

There is a young german couple here early 20's who were mugged first night before they could find anywhere to stay and they have lost passports money clothes everything, so one very kind person found them a room to sleep in and I have been raiding hija-s wardrobe for a change of clothes for them, and I have given them a mobile phone and new underwear, poor souls. German embassy doesn't want to help them until they have proof of id (I ask you!!) so on 11th someone is flying in from Germany to help them, so until then we will help. What a world we live in, at first when they asked for help most people were cynical, I held back and waited and then this one young woman stepped forward knowing it could be a scam and she put us all to shame. Dropping the stuff off tomorrow in San An. I've always wished I had a huge house where I could help youngsters in distress.
