Have any of you ladies had this done ?
I was in town this morning and there was a stand in the shopping centre and they were doing eyebrow threading for a fiver .I dithered :)
Does it hurt ? My eyebrows are nowhere near as thick and dark as they used to be these days but I was wondering if it might make them "look" neater and thicker.

I reported back earlier but it didn't post. Exact same meds as I have in Spain, jolly nice little clinic on the station. I was the first in and first out. Didn't have to pay!
Robi I days have water in a bottle with thoe sports caps on it, can't spill.
still got a head full of cobwebs, might end up sticking the vacuum cleaner nozzle in one ear.
What am I on about?^^

Going to a Seaside Special show tonight, the theatre will be full of bus loads of laps, we'll show 'em how we roll!
think I was just dehydrated. I have been knocking it back today (water) and feel better.
bus loads of laps, I could stretch out across them.

Goooorgeous day on the river.
I think neti's had a little more than water in her sports bottle today.
Evening all. I've had really lovely shower and washed my hair after a brilliant walk on the Derby Nomad Way. My walking friend and I started at Shardlow then crossed fields, walked by the canal and climbed over styles to Aston-on-Trent, Weston-on-Trent and ended up at Swarkestone where we caught a bus into Derby then home. We sat and had our 'pack-up' by the canal watching houseboats going through the lock. We walked 7.83miles and do I feel good! But at the same time - really tired and ready for a sleep.
Woofy I was struggling with a 'deaf' ear and when I got back from York I went to the nurse and she 'hoovered' it out for me.
I went to the Drs.today for a revue of my Coliwhatsit and I have to stay on the tabs for another month and go back again.
Also I had to make an appointment with his wife (diabetic nurse because of my diet going to pot and a recall on I.G.T)
I get fed up with going.

I hope you're enjoying your holiday Neti. We will have to have another getogether sometime. I have found an easier way we could do it.

I hope everybiddy else is OK and you all have a good night. See yer later 'gater(s)
hello all, really strange day today, fuzzy all day, much better now.

It's been a lovely day .Had a lovely afternoon at my brothers ,tea and cakes in the garden ,nice company and lots of nattering .
That's a very long walk Jude .I'd have been on my knees half way across the first field !
I bet it was nice on the Thames today though Jno .The big ships are arriving here for the festival ...

Oight Oight ,sleep toight .
oooh lucky you, shaney, I didn't get to see the tall ships as they were way down at Woolwich somewhere and I couldn't find any information about exactly where. Apparently they'll be back in a year as part of some global race, so maybe I can try again then.

This weekend is the Great River Race

http://www.greatriverrace.co.uk/

an excellent place to see Viking longboats crewed by Smurfs etc, but it might rain and old sea salts like myself don't like rain.
Well I guess old salts dissolve in rain? Aren't the ships beautiful? We see them here too but its quite "organised" and touristy so i din't often go now. A good start to the day here. We have been out and the dogs had a lovely run around while I pottered along behind. Now back to sleep, laters all.
Morning all...lovely sunny and fresh, looks like being the last for a while, I don't know how I'm going to cope. sniff

Lovely pic shaney, I see no ships around here but we don't have have to go far to see some impressive narrow boats I suppose. Sorry I've no interesting pics to share unless you want to see the inside of my stuffed wheelie bin.

Saw a terrific show last night, all old songs and old people but had a good time, got kicked off the last bus as they wouldn='t accept buys passes after 11pm! I ask you!

Just changed my flight from Monday too following Sunday, Mr N not overly peased, well tough! Having a good time.
Good morning and I apologise for typos as am on a totally different keyboard, this is an English one, mine isn't!
really really really need some rain here.

Hello all
Another lovely day and very hot here but I think that'll be it by tomorrow.
Hope you're all ok .
I was out and about early this morning before the great unwashed got going and was in Lidl by 9am .They had some ballerina slippers on offer ,two pairs for a tenner so I got one pink and one teal pair and two tops for 6.99.Bought hot rolls and some goodies for Mr.S and trundled back .
I'm pooped now !
Oh well done Mrs Thrifty, you can't have too many slippers. My mum must have thought the world's supply was going to run out one day, she always had about 6 prs in reserve.

Don't worry woofy, the rain's are coming...well they are for us....which probably explains why I've got pressure in my head and I've turned into a limp lettuce.

Well I was enjoying my sarnies & crisps outside but an angry wasp kept bombarding me so I've had to retreat...I don't want to get stung and end up in A&E with that prophylactic shock malarkey.

:)
My Mum was a slipper hoarder too. I am a clothes hoarder. If i find something I like I buy it in several colours or even just the same but that's because I find that my kind of clothes will be in the shops one year and then not again for 4 or 5 years. Same with shoes because my feet are almost square. if I find something i like that is comfortable then I stockpile because I know that they are few and far between. I have to go and do some tidying in my shed but its too hot out there now.
love this heat, love it. Alas it looks like pouring all tomorrow and getting a lot cooler so my slippers may have to be near to the microwave. At least no watering is needed today. Well, not the garden, I've watered myself liberally.
