Have any of you ladies had this done ?
I was in town this morning and there was a stand in the shopping centre and they were doing eyebrow threading for a fiver .I dithered :)
Does it hurt ? My eyebrows are nowhere near as thick and dark as they used to be these days but I was wondering if it might make them "look" neater and thicker.

Sounds like you lived at Downton Neti!
Was big but was old and cold. We were such a big family, and dad bought it cheap. I hated it, have hated big houses and gardens ever since. There was even a bell thing for servants in the breakfast room, and push buttons in all the other rooms, we had such fun ringing them, mum was furious and had them all disconnected.
if you go into street view you will see the enormous block of flats they have built where our house was, the trees at the side was where I used to climb and at the far side iwas the tradesmen entrance.
the house I grew up in was pulled down years ago for a motorway that never happened, so it was just a hole in the ground for 20 years. Then a few years ago they hauled in a nice little wooden villa and put it on the site.

Now they've revived the motorway plan so goodness knows what happens to the villa.
I have just been and looked at my Mum's old house on google....shouldn't have done it :(

Just popping in to say goodnight ...love the story of your house Neti .I've lived in lots of different houses in various places .The longest we've ever lived in one house was in Wimbledon. My parents last house is just up the road here .I don't like walking past it much because my Dad died there in the front room downstairs .
Not a bad day here , it got out lovely weatherwise .It was quite hot as I slogged back from the shops and surgery where I sweet talked the receptionist into giving me my prescription.

It's been a good fruit harvest this year Jno ,something to do with the very cold winter we had .They were practically giving away the plums at the market last Saturday .I only eat apples now and again .I like an apple with a bit of cheese but Im afraid an apple a day has me running away ;)
Oight Oight lovelies ,sleep toight .
Good morning. We had a night of garden hunting last night so sleepy today. I don't actually mind as it means I don't have to walk them which saves my knee. They do love to tear around and snuffle in the dark.
I have to be careful with fruit and veg too. 5 a day is so not a goer!...well it is...lol

Morning all
Wish I had never mentioned the word run ! I've been up since sparrows with a crampy tum etc. Obviously I must have found something else to eat that doesn't agree .
Warm here this morning but very misty from what I could see on way back and forth to the small room .Starting to brighten up now though .
Hope you're all ok .
Morning /afternoon.

Poor shaney, nothing worse than the runs.

Still sweaty here.

Have to say I love Doc Martin, it's taken me a while.

Same old same old here, coffee, cleaning, washing and cooking :-(
this was the house I grew up in in my teens. We had it built in 1963 and sold it about 40 years later when Mum died. The car port thing used to be lawn but was added by the buyer, who is also building an infill property at the foot of the drive. Plus Mum had great waves of purple bougainvillea along the white fence by the terrace instead of that wooden fence
okay, to save you switching on your psychic powers I will now include a link

That's lovely jno, not very English is it?
https://maps.google.com/

this is the house we moved into after the big one, this was pretty big too, had a full length stained glass window on the stairs, we had beams in the downstairs (winter) lounge, and upstairs first florr was a summer lounge at the back with windows all one side. But by 'eck the size of the spiders yuk, it is now about 4 flats! :-( The garden wasn't quite so overgrown in out days.
not at all English, despite the red bricks. This isn't the one with the banana tree outside the front door, that was round the corner, we lived there while this one was being built.

Bah, I am sneezing like an air raid warning, a cold is just about to overwhelm me. It had better not leave me coughing for 10 weeks like the last one.
oh dear all it shows is the USA and no we didn't own that.
your house covered the entire USA, neti? You must have inherited some wealth
jno, starty sipping that Buttercup cough liquid, the normal one, it is brilliant. When I had my cold in England I had a
dreadful cough was knew for sure it would go to my chest, but after sipping Buttercup it just cleared up, amazing.
haha, I employ Obama!

Giving up, it appeared on my page!
