Hi All, I thought I would post to let you know that Sylvia's funeral went well yesterday. Thankfully the rain stopped and the day brightened up. Cathey Johnsons version of The Rose was played as we entered the church which was packed, and Sarah Maclachlans version of Angel on the way out. I must admit that it was that song which really made me cry - I had held up quite well unitl then. The flowers were all beautiful - Sylvia would have loved them. Sorry to be a bit mopey but that's how i'm feeling right now.
Deepest sympathy to you and all the Family WelshYorkie, pleased that the day went well considering your sad loss.I live in Anglesey myself and hoped the day would brighten up for you.
All the very best to you and all the family for the future.

Hello Julian, good to hear from you. I am relieved the rain halted for you and hope that you all managed to celebrate Sylvia's life. I am sure that for many of us you have been in our thoughts and prayers. None will think any the worse for you showing your feelings. Take your time and take care of each other. Viv ♥
Oh Welshy, I am glad the clouds parted and Sylvia got her farewell as you wished it to be, Anglesey holds many wonderful memories of my late husband and time we spent there. One of my favourite photos of him is in contemplative mood, sat alone on a rock in a wee cove at Treaddur.
Ahh, Mamya, Trearddur Bay - we used to take our lads (noseyparker79 is one) their to wade through the rockpools looking for crabs and shrimps and the like. A very special place in our lives.
Aww bless... it's reminded me of my mums funeral.. she bloody picked 'Time to say Goodbye'.. not a dry eye in the house... I nicked one of the roses in her wreath and pressed it.. So I still have a little bit of mummy around.. just not the bit that berated me...
