Does anyone know how to get rid of the smell of urine from a mattress. It has been washed and disinfected but the smell comes back

You probably should just ditch it and buy a new one and a mattress cover (waterproof one) as I don't think you can ever get rid of the smell completely.

Hi, well it looks like you can try this site for some info or else take it outside, set fire to it, wait until its just ashes. Its a sure way to get rid of the smell.

I use baking powder, (bicarbonate of soda) sprinkle in on, quite a lot, leave for hours overnight if possible, then hoover off. Usually works for me,but I suppose it depends how bad the smell is/how long it's been there.

Get yourself an Earlex steam cleaner and steam clean it.
This destroys the bacteria and so the smell.
Had 14 yr old foster boy who kept wetting the bed this workd well . aalso worked when my ancient aunt came to visit , bless her
Now my boys need never to worry about inviting me when I get old and a bit leaky at the seems :0)
