Covid covid covid. Sick (no pun) of How Covid has altered our lives worldwide. I, (like many) kinda thought world wld have a grip on it by now (naively) but I’m finally realising that it’s here for a long time yet!
Try working for the NHS then you would really be fed up with it! Finally had 2 days out of full PPE this week then ended up back in it again, least it stops me eating too much chocolate ....
Not too good with Analysis and stats are you Danny?
The real risk is minuscule. Should ban motor vehicles, aircraft, electricity, gas - they all kill people.
And what about those with problems that need treatment? Are you willing to sacrifice their lives so you can have your lock downs?
And maybe stop calling people who disagree with you idiots when they have bothered to work out for themselves actual risk. It is not them who are the idiot.
ymb// calling people who disagree with you idiots//
I did not call anybody an idiot (though if the cap fits wear it) it was a generalisation.Maybe you shouldn't be so quick to nitpick.
Prudie I'm raring to go on a weekend break on a holiday anything to be normal but the powers that be won't let us ,they don't do normal , certain ones on here consider that attitude as being selfish, well if they paid or in deed bothered me I might feel different ......but guess what!i DONT give a rats arris and I've a feeling you don't either :0)))
Prudie//. And as for the word covidiots just because it's in the dictionary it's still insulting.//
If that is true then so is calling people Coviphobic.
I just wish the new rules made any sort of sense. I’ve looked after my 2 grandchildren most of the week, but I can’t look after them today because we don’t live in the same house, it’s just ludicrous
Bobbi, form rules issued on 14th September.
//It may not always be possible or practicable to maintain social distancing when providing care to a young child//
Doesn't bother me Bobbs, I break the 'rules' all the time ! A rebel, that's me ..
Headline in Mail Online today now says there may be another major lockdown, after saying that there wouldn't be and they're talking about doing it in October ! It's a bloody nightmare.
I am far more concerned about my four grown up kids keeping their jobs and being able to pay the bills than I am about the virus. One has lost her job already and another is at risk. I am sick of the economic illiterate calling for another national lock down, its not worth it, the virus is here to stay, people will die, get used to it.
Oh! dear..............wiyth some of those comments, a second wave AND lock down is inevitable. I would suggest around 3 weeks time.
Very rarely is the phrase "herd immunity" used either in its scientific definition or its colloquially use but thhat is what is being suggested ,so why not all call it what it is.....sacrificing the few for the survival of the rest and maintainence of the economy.
That is a cogent and maybe solution to this pandemic, but please call it what it is......a cull.
Just do what you are tied for once and obey the government guidelines however confusing or illogical they seem.
We can't do anything else but Sqad but one can dream, we are back to getting our shopping done for us etc now, good job I have a lovely family and besides I must shield OH ,he's 80 next year and has Diabetes
Herd immunity to add to his - -
so many people have had it - that the infection chain is broken (Ro sinks below one because there is no one to infect sort of)
for covid - it is around 60% - we are no where near there - current raw rates for all testing is 5-10%
so instead of herd immunity - you are looking at burn out
Current PH doctors are saying this is a two year suck
and CDC was on american tv saying vaccine would be ready
in September - - 2021 that is!
