Holiday in New York

My boyfriend and i are planning on going to New York and Boston on holiday in September (from Newcastle). any advice on how to get the cheapest deals? we dont want to leave it too late, incase we dont get exactly what we want. Dont want to spend more than �80 per night on acomodation, but want private bath and midtown locations. etc. please help!!!!

stayed at the ramada new yorker on 8th at 34th st - nice little diner attached and easy access to all touristy bits with decent subway links

paid about �80 a night !

I stayed at the Milford Plaza on 8th Ave just off Times Square in December, great location and it feels really secure as you have to show your room card to security before you can enter the lifts.

we found an excellent deal though www.onlinetravel.com, and i know that www.expedia.co.uk is also very good for low prices
