I'm not worried about going to hell, I'm planning to take surffing lessons on the lake of fire and it'd be nice to catch up with dad too... ever since he went in to the whole 'boss of hell' thing he's hardly ever home. I can start taking Cerberus (of Fido as I call him) for walks again too... he's such a big softie. ;0)
No. I don't believe that anyone or anything has the power to judge you, so the concept of heaven and hell is a really alien thing to me. I believe both are a contrivance of man, to keep his fellow man in order.
I'm going along with Nox on this, no Hell, no Heaven.

I'm an atheist so I don't believe any of this Devil, God stuff, makes no sense at all.

And before anyone asks where do I think I will go when I die, I stop living, The End
Third nox's and second RATTER's
I don't believe in heaven and hell. I believe that when you die, your spirit lives on but no one is good or bad in the spirit world, imo, way too judgemental, just a load of hogwash to make us behave or else! When my Mum was little, now 72, she was told if she didnt read her bible on a sunday , all day might i add,she would go to hell! She was terrified. Dreadful!

Why, as an atheist would you want to live any longer, and have to suffer getting out of bed of a morning, and recurring bank statements? Is your atheism the result of serious scholarship Ratter?
well im in the fiery place every time i log on here
Question Author
Have you all considered that you may be decieved into NOT believing in an afterlife, a success for the Deciever.
Cannot answer for RATTER, but having agreed to his opinion:: I actually enjoy getting out of bed in the morning (can't wait to make a cuppa), my bank balance is healthy (not brimming with millions - but never in debt, always in credit) and I went to Secondary Modern school, but have honestly learnt my wisdom from my father and reading.

Oh, and I enjoy life, END OF.
there is more waiting for us all .life is only a small section .
I enjoy life to the full, why would you assume differently, do you really think that I cant enjoy life just because i'm an atheist?
I promise you it allows me to enjoy life more, not being tied down to a load of out of date nonsense about a supposed God!!
Hello crete, im back onto the same old subject, lol

Question Author
Enjoying life? We all do until disaster strikes. If that happens, (and I hope it doesn't happen to you), then your life is spoiled, and if all you believe is, this life, then that's a very short span. The longer span of eternity would then come as a shock - an unwelcome one.
hello me dear is the mrs. o k . im going to keep you a place (god willing) in heaven just so i can say , na na na na na ,
Question Author
Without God, where is your moral authority for right and wrong? If it seems O.K. to me, I can do what I please. With God present, there are rules.
I am to busy living to worry about where I am going to end up,nobody has ever come back to tell us where they had been and what it was like, all I know is,if there is an "afterlife" I would love to be re-united with my mum & dad & grandparents,
Well in order for our non belief in heaven and hell to be the work of "the deceiver", one has to first believe in him, which I'm afraid I don't.
Can you explain to me please why you would worship a creature (God) who creates other beings, all of whom are subservient to him, and the one, the most beautiful of all, questions him, and then gets cast down into a fiery chasm? Now please tell me how that thing that started it all off can possibly be good, when it treats it's erring children thus?
I'm sorry but I find belief in heaven and hell to be utterly morally reprehensible. We should be good people because that's the RIGHT thing to do, not because we're sh1tting ourselves in case we go to hell... it just dumbs people down and makes them less than their full potential.
theland, everyone is entitled to their opinions , dont think preaching is goung to change anyones mind, anyway GOD isnt judgemental. im sure.
Not so much now.

Had pnuemonia and at one point felt like I was slipping away and could feel my breathing slowing right down and stopping in parts.

Was lying on a hospital trolley after being rushed in by ambulance and even though there were people rushing all round me it just felt so peaceful and calm and remember thinking it wouldn't be so bad to just slip away like this all peaceful.

Was with my beloved nan, cuddling her, when she died and something about that comforts me that she may be wherever I end up.
