Hi gerkin... funny you should mention that, I always fancy guys who are attractive in my eyes, young 25-33) but very skint and usually lack any sort of personality but i do have a guy in London who is very interested in me, is mature (42) EXTREMELY wealthy, with a fantastic personality, but unfortunately not much of a looker..... so I'm in a bit of a pickle.... not sure what to do.... either way, I've been invited to a cocktail party in London to meet him over Christmas so I guess I'll see then..... ;D

I think women fall into three catagories with this, the first lot being the ones that will fawn all over you even if you look like the elephant man and have the personality of Idi Amin so long as there's a lot of money about. They I think are getting rarer actually. Then there are the ones who can't seem to see any deeper than whether someone is pretty to look at or not, even when the bloke is a complete creep and prat. These are getting commoner. And finally there are the wonderful, sensible, deep women who I think make up the majority who are more savvy than to care about looks or wealth. They know that once you've found the right person, it matter nothing what they look like or how much they are worth. Most women in my expereince fall into the last catagory.

Hubby and I struggle to make bills each month but I wouldn't swap him for a millionaire. I think you need to be physically attracted to someone for a successfull relationship, that doesn't necessarily mean that they have to look like they've stepped off a catwalk.

To be honest .. his heart! Money doesn't make a man, nor do great looks! It is his heart, his intelligence and his integrity that I look for. If he also happens to be handsome, then that is just a small bonus. I am sooooo lucky as I share my life with the most wonderful man who has the gentlest, kindest and biggest heart in the world. We have been together for just over 20 months now, living together for 14 and not for one minute during all this time has he ever let me feel unloved or unappreciated. Every day he makes me feel that I am a very special, beautiful, intelligent woman. And every day I show him that I respect him, appreciate him and love him to bits!

Neither would do it for me. I like a man with a kind heart, thoughtful and caring and a good sense of humour, i need a man that makes me laugh.
To need money or looks from a life partner is shallow and will never bring true hapiness!
Looks is so personal anyway, we all know that what one person finds attractive, another doesnt.
