How do I cheer myself up?
26 Answers
I have spent the entire morning crying even though I have tried to cheer myself up and answer the odd question on here. I have so much going on in my life at the moment and I am not coping very well at all. I am trying to be superwoman. Had terrible row with b/f last night, well he shouted and I cried. Think the last year has finally got on top of me and hit me in one fell swoop. I feel so so miserable today.

Really sorry to hear you're feeling miserable today Pink - life seems pretty rubbish at times doesn't it? Everyone has times when they feel down, so don't feel on you're own, so many people know how you feel. It's hard to find the positives, but they will be there, and you need to find the things in life that make you smile :-)
*sniggers* that's excellent!
Pinky..you poor love. It has all been building up for you and as Daisy says it is good to have a big cry every now & then ~ otherwise we would implode or something ;o)
Tomorrow is indeed another day. Whenever I feel like you do I always say this to myself, and tell myself that I really don't know what good things are around the corner..and there will be some, I guarantee it.
Big cyber hugs xxxx

To a great extent you can control all the good things and bad things in your life. From experience I find that its others who bring all the bad stuff to my doorstep and so I have to deal with those people in order to improve the situation. Sometimes it means cutting people out of your life altogether if they constantly bring you down.
You know you deserve better in your life which is why you're crying. Don't despair though. Things never stay bad for long and you'll start fighting back. Don't dwell on the row you had last night, but try to think of solutions.
And if you need a break then go and stay with a friend for a couple of days. Your own breathing space will give you a lot of clarity.

I just think what with all these insane court cases with partners ex,then being ill, breaking foot, getting an ulcer, moving house 9 days before xmas AND trying to work and run home at the same time without a single relative or friend to help at all- well my brain can't cope anymore - not today anyway.

Hey you,
Not much longer now sweetpea and then you'll have family and friends round to support you.
Can you do anything practical like hire a company to move all the stuff for you? Just take something off your plate?
Failing that, glass of wine, feet up and s0d everything else for an hour or so.... you sound like you need a rest.
Thinking of you angel, big hug and much love my little wenchipoo.... xx

Hi Pinkfizz, I am sorry to hear you are feeling so down today. They say moving is the most stressed out thing and belive me it is.!That is seconded by divorce. What a year you have had not long to go now before a new one starts, a better year for you all round.! When I am down I like to listen to all my sad cd's, Enya and things like that. The stress of all the things that have happened to you in such a short time has come to a head. Can understand what you mean about b/f daughter and not swopping the weekend, but he is a man !!! That says it all!!!!!!!!!!! Have a nice cuddle with your b/f when he comes home from work, lazy evening not doing much and an early night. Tomorrow is another day. Go and make yourself a cup of tea ( don't forget to put teabag in like I just did) and relax.Do hope you feel better tomorrow. Only wish I lived near you and could help you outBut for now I send big hugs and all my love. Brenda xxx
Kahil Gibran - On Joy & Sorrow
Then a woman said, "Speak to us of Joy and Sorrow."
And he answered:
Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.
And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.
And how else can it be?
The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.
Is not the cup that hold your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter's oven?
And is not the lute that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives?
When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.
When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
Some of you say, "Joy is greater than sorrow," and others say, "Nay, sorrow is the greater."
But I say unto you, they are inseparable.
Together they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.
Verily you are suspended like scales between your sorrow and your joy.
Only when you are empty are you at standstill and balanced.
When the treasure-keeper lifts you to weigh his gold and his silver, needs must your joy or your sorrow rise or fall.
