Not a question, this is for Zorro. To determine if a person has this condition he/she needs to be assessed by a physcologist over a 6 week period following a referral from a gp or school if the person is of school age. The assessment will show up if the person had A/S and if so,is high, medium or low functioning. Nobody can self diagnose as certain test's need to be undertaken. My son is High Functioning, thank God. If you're concerned Zorro see you gp and ask for an assessment. I'll overlook your foul remark's to me from last night.

Well, what can I add? I never realised there were so many Ab'rs with "Aspie" children or actually themselves! We'll have to ask the Ed for a "Special Needs" section. Zorro you've no need to apologise again. I should say sorry to you for jumping to the wrong conclusion...Sorry. I still wish you'd see your gp though:-) thanks to you all for your input. Daisy/aka battersby.
Hi battersby, a section for carers was requested, I even emailed the ed, but she never answered.

Hiya Lonnie, It's a pity we cant have a special section. After reading that link you gave I feel even more stronger about trying for a special topic. The Ed should be more helpful dont you think? batterby aka daisy.
Hi battersby, why don't you try, in suggestions like I did, its possible that the more people put one in, that the ed may actually take notice,

There are so many people on this site that are carers, be that as parents or employed as such, that the wealth of information and support they can give, is immeasurable.

If you do, you can put a post in B&S to let people know, I, for one would support you, and so would most everyone else.
I dont recognise peoples faces....I tend to recognise people by the way the walk or body shape.....I even tend to recognise my own family like that when i see them in the street....that sounds really wierd....but I have read that that is the way Aspies are.

The number of people who have said over the years that I ignored them when they passed me in the street or supermarket...yet I never saw them.

People have said that they think Im ignorant, yet noone who has known me for years would say that...quite the opposite actually. Im just different to other people, and struggle to do things the way other people do things.
I also take things people say to me or even write to me on here very literally, which causes anxiuosness to me when it was meant as a joke by them.

I have "found" myself the last couple of months whilst researching this condition.
I scored 42 on this test....10 higher than the score that indicates Aspergers

actually...im more autistic than it appears 99.9% of AS diagnosed people are on youtube. I have more in common with RainMan than I do with most AS diagnosed people . I consider it a disability more than what they do....they seem to aspire to it....never mentioning te probems...just how special or different they are.
