Fractured toe

I have fractured my big toe. The foot is all bruised. How long will I be off work as my job entails my being on my feet all day. Thanks in advance.

I broke 2 toes last year playing drunken bare foot footy in my mates house with a beach ball when she was away and ended up kicking her fireplace! I got a disceplinary for taking a morning off to go to hospital then taking the afternoon off to follow the docs advice! Usually takes 6 weeks to heal a break but you're best asking your GP to give you a sick line.

I broke toe on boxing day, same thing on my feet all day, I went back to work the next day but then I is hardcore.

On another note I snapped my entire foot in half and walked around on it for 2 weeks before I thought, hmmm maybe I have hurt myself.

Stalk me all you like Goodsoulette, you'll never find me! It's funny actually what you were saying about your foot, I had a fractured wrist for 3 months before it got put in plaster a couple of years ago! Docs misdiagnosed it because I didn't tell them it was ever 5 when they ask how sore it is on that pain scale that they give you. Although they must have ignored my xrays too as there was blatently a break in it!

I broke my big toe and the two next to it last August,. i am onm my feet from 8am til 8pm at least 5 days a week at work and lots at other times, i had 6 weeks off work and my second toe is still not healed properly but i had to get back to work anyway and so i had to just get on with things

Thanks for everyone who responded, looks like I'll have plenty of time on my hands for the next six weeks!!
