I knoiw linda, my travellers cheques are in euros i think and in turkey it is lire or something foreign

Turkey is great; glad you got a replacement hol sorted out. Turks are some of the most friendly people I've ever travelled among. Open a map and you're surrounded by people offering to take you where you want to go. I got invited to a circumcision ceremony by some people I met in a cafe, and it was great (I didn't witness the actual knife bit). Turkish food is one of the world's great cuisines, it's certainly not all kebabs.
