If you were cohabiting or even married - would you let your partner go clubbing with there friends without you ?
Is it acceptable to have time apart from each other to have a night out with the girls?

Tell him you respect him and love him but that it is not acceptable for him to put demands on when and were you can go out, and that you would never be so discourteous to him. If he trusts you, he has to trust you completely. The night of the week has nothing to do with it. Again, don't back down for an easy life or he will keep doing it.

It cannot be acceptable for anyone's partner to have so little trust in them and in their relationship that they feel threatened by the other partner wanting to have some time doing something that they enjoy. If you give in on this, what other demands will your partner make of you next? Choosing your clothes, your hair style, what you have for dinner - you are an adult. The problem is in his head and in his perception of you as a woman. He can't think much of you if he thinks you are going to go off with the first man who speaks to you in a social situation. Very shallow, if you ask me........I'd be considering my position very carefully in this situation. I'm married - have been for years, but we've never had a problem with going out without each other - do it quite often, in fact.
