About 10 years ago, I had a one night stand with a celebrity. I have not seen him since.

I am now going to work on a production with him - he is the boss of the company.

If this were a normal job, I would just turn it down, but it is only for a few months, and he is pretty famous so I am keen to do this as he has industry weight and obviously anything he is connected with will probably do well - so it is good for my career.

However - how do act towards him?

Obviously I will not be winking at him or anything forward, lol, but seriously, do I act like we have never met before and say nothing, or do I be polite and perhaps in private acknowledge it and assure him that no-one knows and it will not affect the production?
Should I wait and see if he says anything?
He may not even remember himself! Though we did spend an evening and night together, so he likely will.

He is now married ( though after a bit of research on dates etc, I suspect he may have been married at the time, though I didn't know it then - or at least going out with her - I may be wrong, I am just guessing)

I am going to a meeting next week, and I will of course be professional, but I just feel a bit weird and nervous about it.

I also am concerned that as soon as he recognises me I may be 'let go' for some random reason.
I don't want him to worry that it will be spoken about to anyone else.

I have no feelings whatsoever for him and have no intention of causing him any pain

Can anyone give me any advice of the best course of action?

Thank You

I am not being revolting, just a little bit sceptical, it's only a website, no need to get yourself all worked up about little old me, noone else bothers and I certainly didn;t insult you or call you very rude names that made it sound like I had taken a dislike to you, lol
read the posting again ''on your knees''.

One does believe that others are in agreement be it worded differently to my postings

I'm surprised you can pronounce any words by the way!!

Do not talk with your mouth full S******

Now shoo shoo off to bed, you must get your beauty sleep, thats providing your meeting boss hog tomorrow

Ps, Don't prostitutes and drugs go hand in hand lol

Question Author
petal flower - no you have misunderstood.
I mean if its clear he knows me, should I ignore it or speak to him and assure him its in the past and to consider it forgotten.
I just mean if he acts strange and it makes things awkward.
I would prefer not to mention it but if he is worried it may get out, should I reassure him?

I am hoping he has forgotten because it would be horrible if there was an atmosphere, but I also think there might be one if I just act like nothing happened.

It seems whatever approach I could take it could come across as 'being weird'.

I suppose I must just play it by ear, and only react if he seems to have an issue -I just wondered what people thought I should do - I figured they would agree with me and ignore it but I just wanted to be sure.

Aaargh, I am getting so nervous about this, perhaps I shoudl just call up and make some excuse as to why I can't do it! But then, I'd regret it - and what if the situation came up again in the future?
Question Author
Sorry, Dot.hawkes, just feels like everyone is picking on me because I am worried about a potentially awkward situation and potentially future loss of work or something.
I just don't know what to do, or what the best approach is.
I want to just be professional and ignore it, but I am worried that he might think I am being weird or that I am even angry at him or something.
I don't want him to freak out thinking I am up to some revenge game, or want to bed him or anything, I want ot to understand that to me it's done and dusted, forgotten, and for him to see it the same and not be concerned about a 'scandal' brewing.

I am still surprised people are doubting me, I honestly can't see anything outrageous or unbelievable about it, it just one of those things.

Again laurence - learn to read properly, only one person agreed with you, and even then only in part.
read between the lines {who dee}

I'm not bothered if no one agreed with me, does that make me wrong then?

You posted a question, and i gave my opinion, no different to you giving an opinon on me after i've posted an answer, i do not believe you for one moment, you must of realised that by coming onto an answerbank site which is open to one and all, that someone would question your actions etc.

i've read your question a number of times now, and i'm still of the understanding that you have a ''game plan'' in this with your boss, you knew what you done 10 years ago {nothing illegal about that.} and you dam well know what your doing now, if its bothering you that much, may one suggest look elsewhere for work
Question Author
In fact, it is laurences over the top, knee jerk reaction, that I am worried that he will have towards me - that he will think I am up to something, to get money or a job or even blackmail or something and that he has to give me special treatment in case I blab!

I know I am not and just want to this job and thats the end of it, but how can I make sure he knows this?

Question Author
Oh Laurence, yes it does make you wrong - because you are wrong!!
You are the only one who is imagining this big 'game plan' - I cannot believe you are even using that word - too much big brother I think, christ!

Your simplistic, jerry springer view of this situation makes it very hard to take anything to say seriously.
It is a simple question, with a dilemma, why you feel the need to attack me personally and accuse me of all kinds of bizarre things I don't know - I asked for advice of how I should react, not your opinion of something that happened in the past.

You are acting that I am some evil manipulator - just because after 10 years our paths happen to be crossing again, and I am not sure what to do!

There are many ways to 'read between the lines' - and your way is not necessarily the right one.
For instance, you could look at it as ''a young naive girl allowed an older famous actor manipulate and woo her into bed, and then didn't call her and broke her heart'' .....That is ABSOLUTELY NOT what happened, but you can see how things can be viewed from other angles, can't you?

It would benefit you to learn some restraint, and to stop assuming you know it all and trying to take th emoral high ground.

I really don't mind people questioning me - however that is not what you did - you just accused me and abused me.

An opinion that comes from a well rounded and considered assesment of the facts is welcome, your kneejerk reaction just made you sound angry, bitter, rather uneducated and cruel.
I suggest you go an have a lie down as you are starting to sound a bit unhinged.
Well if you are worried that your boss is going to have an over the top/knee jerk reaction because of your one night stand with him, dosen't that tell you the answer you've been looking for.

You made your bed so...........................

Lifes got a nasty habit of coming back and biting you on the backside

And if this is remotely true, i suggest that you avoid him at all cost, especially if he is married. Because if he remembers you, its bye bye to this production, you have no feelings whatsoever for him, and i bet my bottom dollar he will return that compliment about you
I say take the work and don't quit over your fears which are probably unfounded. He's seems to have moved on

Lawrence2 appears to have fundamentally misunderstood this question. He needs to reread his own posts...

This thread is total bull, and if remotely true, he should ''let you go'' (unnecessary / unsourced speech marks)
Sleeping your way to the top is no different to being a prostitute (giving advice regarding something you don't believe)
some of you women are really really ''blind'' (more unnecessary / unsourced speech marks)
just change your username to 'on your knee' (knee would have to be plural for that joke to work)
i'm far from no angel (incoherent use of multiple idioms 'I'm no angel' and 'I'm far from perfect/ angelic)
i would of (have)thought it would of (have)been
you could only dream of the people i know { sportsman} etc, never heard of you so shut up, S****, who the fcuk do you think you are? you sound like you've got a personality disorder so I won't insult you
smurf queen.

you would be best advised not to insult me.

Do you understand that?
Question Author
Oh no, and here's me thinking he may have been madly in love with me for 10 years, even though he is now married with kids!! I am sure she forced him to marry her because obviously he was in love with me all along.

You really are an utter loser.

It took you 48 posts to even give anything even remotely resembling an answer!
Didn't quite manage to address the issue in hand though, I know, because you struggle with comprehension issues don't you.

I sincerely hope he has forgotten me - can you read that? Should I repeat it a few more times so it will finally sink in?

If he weren't famous I have no doubt I would have forgotten him.

If this is all too much for you to believe can I suggest you get out of the house a bit more, into the real world and learn the sorts of things that happen.
wow i struggle to get even the odd word in bold, very impressive there smurf queen :)

(It's ok i don't profess to be good at English Language, only English Lit. and History.)
Is it Steve Coogan?
Question Author
Lol, nice one smurf queen!

Oh lawrence, please, come on now, you already sound like a dimwitted, mob-handed ********, don't make it worse by issuing silly and puerile threats that you cannot possibly enforce.
I'll just bet smurf is just crapping themselves! Hah!

Wow, are you always this dumb or are you just making an extra special effort just for me?
Question Author
Lol, no dot.hawkes, its not a comedian.

Though I will add him to my ''gold diggers list of celebs to sleep with to get me to the top'', that loz seems to think I have.
So far I have
Ricky gervais
Steve Coogan

Mmm...who else can I have?
who de knee......giz a clue who he is .......then I'll give you advice.:))))
Is he English, Scottish, or welsh? Is he not blonde or ginger? Is his wife famous?
please tell me it is not andrew lincoln or i will batter you myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dotty......who's Andrew Lincoln?
You dumb ar$e

I was not giving an answer, i was merely pointing out that in your fantasy world, that would be his response you idiot.

You remind me of the little stage cleaner {probably still are} who see a knight in shinning armour' who tried to force herself onto the ''big stage'' by sleeping around { how many?}.

Then 10 years later, miss fcuking nobody {dee knee} spots producer pete and suddenly gets ambitions to climb the ladder of success via the casting couch on her hands and knees.

And if boss hog dosen't play ball game {private chat} then miss open-all-hours will spill the beans.

I hope he see's you for what you are {tart}, and fires you on the spot, still with a girl of your talents { loose sounds appropriate} you should'nt have to much troble finding work ie firget the stage ''up west'' settle for the back streets you troll
