It's a horrible thing to happen but to wish one of them dead is a bit harsh!
The story may not be as black and white as 'they were druggies in a car having a whale of a time and playing chicken with on coming traffic'.
Surely a better punishment for this boy would be to live with this for the rest of his life instead of dying? That way you will only make his family suffer and he will never know the extent of his crime.
An ex school friend of mine was driving down the A3 last year, a week before Christmas and it was late at night and he had just been to some kind of music event.. he wasn't the one driving but I think they may have been drinking and on something.. and the car swerved off the road and killed my ex school friend. The driver survived.
Over 200 people went to the funeral and the crem was packed full of people. His family blamed the other boy who was driving and shouted at him when he arrived at the funeral and made him leave!
I think that was shocking! He was clearly grieving for not only losing, but being responsible for killing his friend. He will suffer for that for the rest of his life, no matter how much people shout at him.
