I do have to make a point that my mum said to me the other day - Ronnie Biggs is now 78 years old & basically dying. His lawyers are fighting for his release from prison on humanitarian or health grounds. Yes he ruined the life of Jack Mills the train driver, - yes he seemed to be made into a "star" through his escape from the police & living the high life, but my mum's point was that there have been more horrific crimes since with the criminal getting just a slap on the wrist! (my contribution was the 2 kids that murdered Jamie Bulger - aren't they now released ?) I somehow think that they would be more of a threat to the public now aged in their mid 20s than a 78 year old man.
I will also add that my mum is 78 - so she would have been well aware of the train robbery

Ahh, that is a terrible shame and even sadder, but in fact that makes matters worse, that the police were unable to reach a satisfactory end to the situation without bungling it. I still cannot believe that anyone would wish someone dead on a public forum; it has upset me so much before I sleep, it seems abnormal to think of their parents willing them to live and for a stranger to be hoping that they will die, especially as they only are still young. I'm sorry but that sentiment has knocked me back as it is so negative and full of hatred and lack of potential forgiveness
i am not in the mood to get argumentive sorry, the m4 is well sighposted and the lads knew where they were, the police were after them following them, when they went down the wrong way on the moterway the police let them go,at the end of the day the police would have had the blame for persuing them, but it wasnt so
its not the parents fault though that the teenagers were driving down a motorway on the wrong side of the road though cointreau.

hi shanx, I hope it was not me that you think is getting argumentative, I have just had problems on that road myself and I would like to agree with your sentiments about the innocent people who were killed. It is kind of you to think about those people but I also feel sorry for the other people too. I certainly didn't mean to say that I disagree with your post that people shouldn't drink/abuse etc and drive. Sorry if I came across as argumentative.
