Flirting or just friendly?!

Hi All,

I'm hoping you can help settle something between me and the girls at work.

I have to email a guy everyday, as he looks after our account for IT goods etc. He always very chatty with me and we tend to email all day even if its not about work related stuff. Today he was kinda asking about how old I am and stuff, and casually mentioned he split with his girlfriend about 5 weeks ago and has a lot of time on his hands.
Now, the girls at work took this to mean he was flirting with me, but I just think he's being friendly. At the end of the day he called me 'mate' which I took to mean its just a friendly thing...

What do you all think??

i work with 7 men and we all do these innocent flirting. its probably nothing, just Flirting in a friendly way.
Everyone at work flirts. well all the guys flirts with me, cos im the only girl. Most of them are actually in a relationship. i dont even fancy any of them, it just lightens up the place rather than being boring just doing work.

Maybe hes just want to get to know you and wants to chat to a friendly face. I think its just a friendly thing x

If you want to get involved you may have to make the move. Like so many men, he's not that good at this sort of thing.

I think he sounds interested.Carry on being friendly and approachable,if hes serious he will ask you out,if he doesn't then its just flirting.Don't make it too easy for him,in my experience if a guy likes you he will jump through hoops backwards to get you.
