My 3 year old had a temp last thurs night, through till early sun morn. Took her to out of hours on Sat and doc said, no infection, just a virus and that she'd be ok. Was fine Mon, Tues and Weds and today, she woke with a temp again today - 38.1. Took her to docs to be checked for infection (she has bad cough, cold etc) and he said it's just the virus going around. He told us to keep up with the medicines. She's just had a temp of 38.3 now, so given her some more nurofen and will give her calpol in a couple of hours.
Is is normal for a 'virus' to last this long? Her hands and feet are quite cold.

Thanks

It doesn´t sound like one virus lasting a long time, it sounds like two different viruses and as this is only the second day of the second virus.

Monitor the situation but look out for rashes or being more irritable than usual.
