i FOUND A STOCKING THat doesnt belong to me next to my husbands chair. He denies anything going on... should i believe him??

Its a womans stocking, that a woman would wear with boots, skin colour.
I have thought of many different ways it could have arrived there, but nothing fits, he seems sincere.. but where did it come from??? Another woman seems the only real explanation. i have never suspected anything, so this is a real shock!! I dont want to be with him if he has cheated, i just wanna scream at him.. but neither of us can proove where its come from!!

Has none of your family been in the house, or any of your friends?
Another thing it could be, is that one of his mates is winding you up. He may know how paranoid and jealous you get and has done it on purpose.
Or maybe it blew in through the window. (It has been hot recently, are you sure you havent left any windows open)?

asked his mumwho has not been round, my only friend who comes round on occasions does not wear them. He sees no friends as we live in the nxt town to his mates. they never come round. i dont wear this type, never have and it was rolled up as in been taken off so would be too heavy to be blown in the window/door. And its a used stocking too. he is very convincing! but then he has alot to lose!!

Hmmm, if its been used and there is no other explanation then i think you better check your attic to see if anyone is living up there.

The fact that there was only one implies that if someone else had removed it in your house they'd only have put one back on before they left!
Can't imagine an illicit accomplice forgetting to take both stockings with her. And if it was found by your husbands chair where you easily found it they obviously didn't look very hard for it..if it was left after an adultrerous encounter!
If you've never had any reason to suspect him before now I'd be inclined to look for another explanation....at first.

I would be inclined to believe him because you seem to think his reaction is quite unbelieving (which you should know by now, as you are the closest person to him), and I'm pretty sure that you would have noticed other signs of an affair by now.
I also don't think a mistress would risk losing her lover by something as obvious as leaving one stocking in the house...good luck and I hope you sort out the situation.

it's possible you'll never get to the bottom of this. weigh up whether it's worth ruining your relationship for. maybe you'll just have to move on...

The only other reason that there could be just 1 stocking is that he has had a prostitute round and she stormed out in a huff (forgetting to put it back on). Or maybe she left in a hurry. Did your husband look flustered when you found it?

I am the world's greatest cynic. I drove a boyfriend away with my suspicions but.. I didn't trust him because he didn't behave in a trustworthy manner. I still think he was up to something but I'll never know for sure.
