Onwards and Downwards Continues in February

Looks like everyone is making a special effort at the start of the year after the indulgence over the holidays.

Well done to everyone!!!

With Valentine's Day coming up why not try something more healthy instead of the traditional chocs or dinner out?

Does anyone have any tasty, low fat recipes for treats or romantic meals at home?

Here is last months thread

A Dieting Prayer

Bless my bathroom scales oh Lord,
Each week as I step on,
Help me lose a pound or two,
And not put any on.

Keep me from temptation.
From chocolate and from chips,
Keep my willpower going,
Just in case it slips.

Help me count the calories,
Steer me away from sweets,
Keep my sweating palms away,
From naughty...

I am so sorry xstitcher I am going to lose your company this week on the naughty step .I have not lost much but just enough to let me off. It is not easy in this cold weather but it should be getting a bit milder by the end of the month .You know what to do and I know you will get back to it after your your other eye is done.
Well done Maggibee keep up the good work.
Onwards and Downwards for next week.
well done to all of you who have lost. I still seem to be going up and down like a yoyo. Weigh in at SW tonight. Our SW times are changing soon making it very difficult to fit in with my shifts, so I dont know how Im going to get on then as it keeps me motivated
Good for you Wendilla, I would much rather join you off the naughty step put must stay put for the time being. Like you TOH I am yo yoing at the moment.
Allegedly 1½ lbs down on the week: which isn't so bad considering that the Indian meal I was treated to last night ensured I'd eaten about 1½ day's allowance during yesterday. Was sure I was going to be a higher weight when I jumped on the scales this morning.
2lb off for me this week which I am happy to say means I have finally reached that elusive 4 stone. Those last few lbs have been hard work and getting to my target seems a very long way off. Oh well, only another 6 stone to go, sigh!

Well done all of those who have lost this week and onwards and downwards everyone.
Well done Jan and OG. Nothing like a little surprise when you think it will go the other way.
Well done to everyone who has lost weight :-). I've lost half a pound this week, I'm really happy about that. I hope I can lose half a pound each week. I started a Pilates class last week, and I like it cos it's a lot of lying down so far.
Oh dear NAF you did make me laugh. I also like the exercises that can be done lying down.....are we just lazy ??
Yes, I am lazy! I like easy exercises, which sort of defeats the purpose really. Although the instructor says Pilates gets a bit more energetic as time goes on.It's supposed to give you poise and make you look leaner. :-)
Well done JAN OG and Notafish .Keep up the good work
Yipee, lost one and half pounds last night and thats without going to Zumba this week as my knee is playing up. So I am doing something right somewhere. Got to keep going now for my biggie birthday soon. I was hoping to have got to my target long ago.
Well done TOH....I think we quite often set unrealistic targets for ourselves. The first kilos come off quite quickly and then we figure the others will follow suit........not so as you have found out but percerverence pays off..
Morning all,

Well done all who have lost :o)

Well due to having either food poisoning or the winter vomiting bug I have lost 4lb this weekend. Don't know whether thats a good thing or bad :o/
Poor you Tigerb. It's not a very nice way to loose weight. I hope you will be soon back on your feet.
Sorry you haven't been well tiggs and no, it's definitely not a good way to lose weight. I had a week when I was not well and lost 9lb. Trouble is next two weeks I lost nothing and then 1lb. Hope it is not the same for you. Good luck.
Not nice to be ill. But I tend to take any weight loss that comes my way as a good thing. Ok not so good to lose so quickly but think of it as a short fast to kick off further losses, and it starts to look more like the proverbial silver lining.
I know how you feel tigger. Ive been unable to swallow porperly since Friday so practically living on porridge and soup or yoghurt and have so far lost 3lb. its sounds great but I dont want to have to be ill to lose weight as I think as soon as I start eating again I`ll pile it back on. get well soon
i think some one should put on a recipe of the week'every monday and i will try it 'i promise'i need a good shake at the moment,it hasnt been easy as i have my other son staying with me while his house is being renovated, its very hard with 2 hungry boys,AND i never make differant meals
this was brought along to our last tasting session and is georgeous. Has anyone else tried it

Bottle blue Spiced berry cordial 500ml. Its only 8 syns for the whole bottle and gives approx 22 servings. Lovely on a winters day. Much better than Ribena. You can get it from Morrisons or Tesco. £2.99. Its a a tall bottle a bit like a single rose vase ( if you know what I mean ) try it. Im sure you will like it
Good Morning All,

Has everybody gone on strike? I changed the calendar around and today is Friday so I had dressed and eaten before I found out that I had missed my Wed. weigh in....will do do tomorrow.
