Onwards and Downwards Continues in August
Welcome to August's Onwards and Downwards. Welcome to any and all new members keep up the good work.
Summer holidays are here again and those of you with children or grandchildren at home it can be tricky to keep the snacking down. How do you plan to keep the little ones occupied and out of the pantry?
Don't forget your weekly weigh on Wednesday and remember we don't judge!

I've lost 2lb this week. Makes up for not losing any the week before. One of my friends at work bought a bag of double choc chip cookies from Sainsbury's yesterday and was offering them around. I said thank you but no thank you. Normally I can't resist a giant warm cookie but I did and I feel quite proud of that :o)
I've now lost 8lbs in 5/6 weeks.

Do I get to be first on this shiny new thread? On the minus side I didn't lose any weight this week but on the plus side I didn't gain any either. I thought I might have since I was out visiting yesterday and everywhere I looked there seemed to be irresistible food and my will power let me down badly! Tomorrow I am going on a bus tour so will probably be a little naughty then too but will hopefully get back to normal on Friday and perhaps lose a pound or two by next week. Hope the rest of you have all done well and no-one for the naughty stool.
I'm posting on both threads as I'm delighted to be down by 1½lb this morning especially as this takes me to the next half stone milestone. That's 1½ stone since March, slowly but surely.
This week's success was down to no bread on a weekday(!), no cakes, puddings or biscuits and plenty of fruit and veg.
I'm working all day and evening, and unlikely to be back later so here's a little heart for all losers today. ♥

Reposting on the new thread as well.
Stayed the same but I feel I have been let off lightly as my grandson is here some days and he loves bacon rolls say no more. Also I am out to carvery for family dinner on Sunday. It's not so much the dinner it's the Eton Mess that just lands on the table.
Xstitcher I know you will do your best to rectify it but does put you off a bit when you know you have been good most of the time. Better luck next week.
Well done Maidup and I know if I keep off bread and biscuits for a week I can lose 2lbs easily so better get cracking again.

Thanks. As mentioned previously, I'm unsure why I'm going down at a reasonable rate now when I'm doing much the same as I always do when I'm usually achieving little. Although I have indulged occassionally (which should make faster loss less likely) but maybe my body is just responding to a few days sunshine ?
Wow Jan that's fantastic. What an inspiration. I've stayed the same this week, but had two good weeks to start, so I'll just persevere with it. I think not being able to exercise after having a fall didn't help matters. No excuse for next week though. Well done to everyone who has lost. Fingers crossed I'll join you again next week.
