I've lost 2lb this week. Makes up for not losing any the week before. One of my friends at work bought a bag of double choc chip cookies from Sainsbury's yesterday and was offering them around. I said thank you but no thank you. Normally I can't resist a giant warm cookie but I did and I feel quite proud of that :o)

I've now lost 8lbs in 5/6 weeks.

Every year we go to our favourite chinese restaurant for my birthday . That alone will be my night MINUS 1 stone and 2 lbs

This is for anyone that wants to set this target as it might give us a bit more enthusiasm.
A nice meal out sounds nice so I might promise to treat myself to that if I manage to lose the weight. Something to look forward to.
It is costing me a fortune in new clothes and then they only seem to last me a month! I am having to wear clothes that are too large for me now as I refuse to spend any more yet. I am treating myself to a meal for my birthday this month on the bank holiday so am going out for an Indian with 15 friends. Will make sure I enjoy it.
Hi everyone, well done to all who lost this week. I only managed to lose 1/2lb which is disappointing, but I've been battling with the munchies this week, so lucky to have lost anything. Some days it's just so hard not to eat the wrong things, even when you know what the outcome will be.
Kacee please don't say ONLY.You have gone the right way. Yes it is difficult to say no to the wrong things. Have you tried a glass of un sweetened grapefruit juice in the mornings. This helps to break up fat in the body and I find it stops me from eating too much sweet things. But on certain medication this is not allowed . Good luck for next week.
Thanks Wendilla, you're right and I bet lots of people would like to lose at least that each week. I was just grumpy because it's so frustrating. I have about 3st to lose and sometimes it's a bit overwhelming. I'm trying to think in terms of small goals which are reached more easily. I'll try the grapefruit juice in the morning. I have a tin of unsweetened grapefruit segments instead of a dessert sometimes, and it's enough to satisfy me. Thanks for your support. :)
I have a fresh grapefruit every morning. I Googled how to make the segments which is very easy and gives a nice finish to my breakfast. You could always do two or three at a time and keep them in the fridge if time is not on your side in the mornings.
Kacee I started wanting to lose three and a half stone, but will probably settle for three. After a year I am over half way, and the only reason it's taken this long is through me losing my focus and not sticking to the advice. I am now choosing small targets like getting to the next half a stone, or a new stone number, going down a number on the bmi on the wii, just anything to break it into small achievable steps
I like your way of thinking Sheenamf. It seems very workable.
I agree too with Sheenanf. I think sometimes when we have quite a bit to lose it looks like neverending to get there but setting it in small stages is the best way and lose a little each week..

Way to go Tigger. I can just see your halo dazzling us all through cyber space. You certainly are focused and it's paying off.....lots of new clothes?????
Funnily enough Xstitcher, I was trying on all my old clothes earlier and most of them seem to fit me now. Can't wait to try the ones I can't get into now, in a few weeks.

Once I get something into my head, I usually see it through, and yes, it's paying off :o)
I can't believe it. I am down 1 kilo (2 lbs) which for me is the ultimate success. I was so sure that I had lost the plot and had gone up. I have been gorging on fruit this past week (nectarines) and was sure they would add not subtract.

I hope the rest of you also have happy results....
Well done Xstitcher. Well I think I have lost the plot .Where on earth did I suddenly gain this 2 lbs as if I didn't know .This is a good start to losing along with SPOTIT by end of October so now I have to get myself in order. Tomorrow is going to be shopping day for healthy eating for the week. This is where I have been going wrong as I have proved. If you don't shop properly you are inclined to stray . My grandson has been here lots and I like his bacon rolls lol but no excuse I have a good start this week as he is not here this week. Off to the naughty step I go sulking.
Just missed you, Sheena. Look on the bright side, any or no loss is better than a gain!
Not sure what happened my previous post, probably stuck in wrong place, somewhere so here goes again. Congratulations xstitcher on your 2 lbs loss. Well Done! Today is the start of a new week, Wendilla so put last week behind you and go for it. I am very pleased to say I have lost 2lbs. I know it is over 2 weeks as I didn't get weighed last week because I was on holidays. I did a lot of walking which I think helped. Just off on my walk now, a bit late this morning. Oh, nearly forgot to say, this loss puts me on my last stone.
You'll be back with us next week Wendilla. Sometimes a kick in the backside is what we need to get us back on track.
If the nectarines replaced something more liable to raise your weight then they must have been the better choice.

Well, at the end of last week the weight seemed to be determined to continue to rise. I was annoyed and saddened at that point. But it seems to have 'rallied' and I am now down ½ lb on the week. I have no idea how this weight thing works really, it seems to have a mind of it's own. But good it 'came through' by Wednesday.
Well done Spotit. I have just got my diary book out and writing down everything I eat. I may go Asda today as my hairdresser is coming earlier..
