Summer holidays are here again and those of you with children or grandchildren at home it can be tricky to keep the snacking down. How do you plan to keep the little ones occupied and out of the pantry?

Don't forget your weekly weigh on Wednesday and remember we don't judge!

Here is last months thread

I've lost 2lb this week. Makes up for not losing any the week before. One of my friends at work bought a bag of double choc chip cookies from Sainsbury's yesterday and was offering them around. I said thank you but no thank you. Normally I can't resist a giant warm cookie but I did and I feel quite proud of that :o)

I've now lost 8lbs in 5/6 weeks.

Jan, about when did you join us and how much have you lost since then?
Well done to those who have lost! I've stayed the same. I was expecting a small loss, never mind.
Well done xStitcher, Jan and Kiki-frog on your lost pounds. Everyone else, it is a new week so concentrate on next week's weigh-in!
I am on holiday at the seaside this week so can't weigh myself but have been reasonably good and have walked a lot more than usual so hopefully next week I will have lost some.
Well done everyone, looks like a good week. I managed 1lb off which means I have gone down to a different stone number, hooray!
Well done, Sheenamf, I am just a couple of pounds off going down to a different stone number so hope in the next couple of weeks I can get there. Then it will be just one stone to go!
Well done Sheenamf, reaching a new stone is such a great motivating moment. Congratulations and onwards and downwards.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday Spotit and am delighted to hear you're reaching your goals too.
Thanks, Maidup, hopefully you will have lost next week. This thread has really helped me with all their support.
well done everyone! you're all fab! no loss for me this week - so in my first 2 weeks of SW i've lost half a pound.... i've stuck to plan, and been walking loads - feeling a bit dejected at the moment. the problem is i'd been trying to lose weight for ages before joining, and ended up putting weight on! starting to think i just will never lose this jelly belly :-(

By the way - isn't it a bit bad that there's a great big advert for Thorntons chocolates on here?? the way i'm feeling I could demolish a box of them without thinking about it..... x
Hi xstitcher, been going through my answers and found I joined this thread on 7th September last year when I had lost 13lbs already just through neglect really after my husband died in July, but then started dieting seriously. Since then I have lost another 5st 3lb and want to lose another 4st yet. It has slowed down recently but I am determined to get there.
Oh dear Nini74 I know just how you feel. You are doing all the right things and yet the results are not coming through. Please don't give up because you will get your reward and I hope it comes soon!!! Don't give in but you keep up with your healthy eating and your walking. I know we are going to hear good things from you SOON. Onwards and downwards.......
Well done spotit, that's the way to go. Jqn as I have said before I think that you have done so well and loosing the first bit in such sad circumstances when many would have turned to food for comfort. This much be costing you a fortune in new clothes. Wobble on Jan!!
At SW last evening we were talking about mutual support being a real help, and spotit is right, it really does help. Keep going nini and you'll soon see results
Well done all who has lost and yes I have benefited from the support on this thread as you know this was started by Xstitcher approx 18 months ago and I replied and someone else said why bother at our age well yes we do bother as we like to stay healthy as long as we can. Then the Ed very kindly gave us a thread that he renews our subscription as we call it every month so as everyone can keep up with the posts. Onwards and Downwards everyone to next week and me included.
SPOTIT shall we have a race and see who can try and get to thast stone as I need to lose that too. Shall we say a stone and 2lbs by the last week in Sept.
I shall never forget that person who so glibly said why bother at our age. I think the same person also added that it didn't matter what we looked like. Well it certainly does matter just as much now as when I was young. Ah the insensitivity of the young....................
I'm doing well this week, 2 lbs lost overall. I am amazed how my eating needs - the chocolate biscuit fiend - have changed. OH gave me a 4-finger kitkat on Sunday, I ate two of them and didn't come back to the other two until Tuesday night. That's brilliant constraint for me.
Well done Boxtops . I find it difficult in the school holidays as Grandson is here about 3 days in the week and I am not content with just the smell of his bacon rolls. Must stop buying bacon.lol
WENDILLA, did you mean we should lose a stone and 2lbs by last week in September. Think that would be a tad optimistic for me! I can but try though.
Spotit end of Sept maybe a bit to much to ask as towards the end your weight loss does slow down so shall we extend that to end of October which was my gaol last year and made it for my Birthday at the end of Oct.
That would do well, Wendilla. I will give it my best. What's our reward going to be if we get there??
