Hello all,
A very happy New year to all our Onwards and Downwards crew. I hope you all had a lovely time over Christmas and let yourselves have a treat now and then. I expect we shall gain a few more members this months, well the more the merrier I say.
We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.
Don't forget your weekly weigh on Wednesday and remember we don't judge!

Hope you feel better soon, xstitcher. Congratulations to all the losers this week. I was surprised to find I had lost 1lb but expect it will be back on next week as I was out to dinner yesterday and have another one tomorrow night. On the plus side I am over a stone lighter than I was at this time last year!! So best wishes for everybody here in 2013.
Thanks Maidup and Wendilla, for your support. Some people have been giving me their Christmas goodies that they hadn't used up, not very helpful of them, but I suppose I should have a bit of will power. I should do better from now on. Hope you feel better soon Xstitcher. And Well Done to Kacee and Spotit!
Ive stayed the same this week, which isn't surprising really, I've been extremely half hearted about losing weight this week. However, I promised myself that I would lost another stone before I go to Tenerife in February, so I'm determined to get back on the straight and narrow. I have five weeks before I jet off!
Thank you all for your good wishes. I am back on my feet and 100% again. My eating during the last week has been anything easy and quick as I couldn't stay on my feet for long and most of it wasn't very weight loss friendly. This Wed. we shall be travelling from early in the morning....migrating down south again so I shall pass next weeks weigh in but will be back seriously from the 23 Jan.
Well I couldn't believe my eyes this morning when I weighed myself. I have lost all that I got for Christmas plus more. Unbelievable. I know it is more than 2 weeks since I last weighed myself. To make sure I did it 3 times with the same result. I am simply flying. I hope the rest of you do well this week.
There is still time to join the January Abstinence Club - I find that I can shed over a kilo a week off the ethanol.... Sibton and I are the principal folk on this but there is still two weeks to go and I am looking to run through a good chunk of February to remove some 7.5 kilos.

Completely forgot about weigh this morning but that might be a good thing as I started back in earnest on Monday so might show up good next week. Well done OG and don't worry about staying the same Lydna you have a goal set and you know how to do it. We won't hear from XStitcher today as she is flying high at the moment .
Hi all. Just dropped in to say I actually managed to balance on the scales and weigh myself yesterday morning and since having my op in November have lost another half a stone, making a total now of 8 stone. I am very happy with this so well done other losers this week and hopefully we can all continue this year. Got a check up at the hospital tomorrow and looking forward to getting a walking plaster on so at least I will be able to get around a bit more, if the Consultant agrees to it of course! Keeping my fingers crossed.
Oh dear! I have really fallen off the wagon, big time! I have put on 2lbs but it should have been 5 or 6. I seem to have done nothing but eat all week, anything and everything. Hope I can get over this eating binge before I put all my lost weight back on again. Congratulations to all wh lost or didn't gain this week and really well done Jan. hope your recovery continues apace.
