Good afternoon,
Sorry we're late - but that's because I am covering for ABAuntie.
Here's last month's thread
Did we survive Halloween?
I am off on a holiday shortly, and I am not "beach-body ready", this is a real picture of me:
Anyway, that ship has sailed for this trip in the sun, and I intend to mostly eat as many deep fried sea creatures as possible.
As always, it's difficult to dodge the "events" happening at any time of the year - especially when it comes to convienience. If you're going to a fireworks dusplay this weekend you might want to think about taking something tasty to keep you warm.
Now, it's not the healthiest thing in the world, but this butternut squash soup with chilli is the best thing for standing by a nice bonfire, or staying warm while you wait for someone to finally light the firework and run back at home:

What's your favourite outdoor-warm-food?
Maybe you could help me find the slimming world version of the above?
Either is still going to be better than something from the hotdog van!
.... Or do you all let yourselves go for events like guy fawkes night?

Good morning all, no change here either. I had a light bulb moment yesterday that hasn't made me that pleased. All the weight loss that brought me to my first big goal, wasn't because of my efforts, it was that disease that was destroying my muscles! Now that I've got about 75% of them back again is why I have gained weight......and here I thought it was because of me doing everything right....argh!!!!
Good luck Wend with the aim of 1 stone. If I am honest I don;t think I could achieve it, at least not without drastic change and feelings of being deprived. But I'm sure you have a better mindset than I.
I'm unsure what I was doing ok in the past and not doing now. But I do know I find it increasingly difficult to stay on the daily goal. And it's got worse ever since I became unemployed. I now enjoy a longer weekend being with my woman, but my control over what I have then is minimal (and my will power to not enjoy the weekend rather weak too). 2 days in seven was a difficulty, three is not good. I was the weight I am now back in July 2012. I've just bobbed up and down since around then. It seems I stopped being obese and then stayed there. I need not a harsh regime I won't stick to for life (and probably not a month) but a real strategy. Even in the days I am catering for myself I seem to be eating what I've got before it goes out of date, or what my woman has given me as a loving food gift. I guess I simply have to get more stern but maybe I don't have the enthusiasm I've had in the past. Maybe I just need to eat more fruit that doesn't satisfy in place of carbs that does.
