Good afternoon,

Sorry we're late - but that's because I am covering for ABAuntie.

Here's last month's thread

Did we survive Halloween?

I am off on a holiday shortly, and I am not "beach-body ready", this is a real picture of me:

Anyway, that ship has sailed for this trip in the sun, and I intend to mostly eat as many deep fried sea creatures as possible.

As always, it's difficult to dodge the "events" happening at any time of the year - especially when it comes to convienience. If you're going to a fireworks dusplay this weekend you might want to think about taking something tasty to keep you warm.

Now, it's not the healthiest thing in the world, but this butternut squash soup with chilli is the best thing for standing by a nice bonfire, or staying warm while you wait for someone to finally light the firework and run back at home:

What's your favourite outdoor-warm-food?

Maybe you could help me find the slimming world version of the above?

Either is still going to be better than something from the hotdog van!

.... Or do you all let yourselves go for events like guy fawkes night?

Might it be muscle gain then ?

If you are eating ok then I think you may be better monitoring size rather than weight for a bit.
Yes 0G good points there .

BEDNOBS well done but you will slow down in the next week or two and that is where the hard work begins especially on a diet that is why we don't call ourselves on a diet we are healthy eating ..
Plan your meals for the week and you are less likely to stray write everything down which helps with your following weeks shopping .these clubs are all money making. It's keeping it off that is difficult so if you get into the habit of healthy eating it is much easier.my motto is cut out the fat and the crap . Have a treat when you feel down . It helps . Good luck

Do you mean size of what I eat or size of myself and clothes. If it's the former I've really honed it down and if the latter I haven't gone up or down.
I was thinking of your size rather than what you eat. Pick a favourite measurement on you that isn't likely to grow due to being more physically active, and see how that changes. It sounds as if you are staying the same to me; that the scales are a little deceptive until you settle down again.
Will do OG, it makes sense.
Good morning all. :-))
Last week's mysterious weight gain is solved. I hadn't noticed that my legs were a bit swollen so a water pill fixed that and I, down to where I was less some so going the right way again. Hope to hear from you all.
Ah, so you decided to measure leg circumference and are now on the good girl step this week :-)
Not again !

Yesterday I was heading for an all too modest 0.2 lb reduction. This morning the fates have decided to turn that overnight into a further 0.8 gain instead :-(
Good morning all just spotted you in the latest posts OG and its a wonder you didn't hear me swear . I have forgot to weigh but I have been good this week so might see a good result next week .
Good for you. Two good weeks on the trot should be something to celebrate next time.
Going out for lunch tomorrow cant resist a steak but got a week to rectify it .
Good morning all,

I'm the same as last week so quite satisfied as I binged on chips the other day mmmmmmm.

The whole truth is that we were snowed in and I wanted something fast and easy and frozen chips seemed to fit the bill hmmm.
Still no change for me either. I really must be honest with myself and look at what's going on with my eating habits. I do well at breakfast and lunch, nit too bad in the evening but i think I am in denial about all the odd bits in between!

Can do better I know I can.
Let's set a little goal for next week Maydup.....just to go down a little bit. I'll have carrot and celery snacks in the fridge.
Morning all I would win first prize for staying the same AGAIN .
It must be something in the air Wendilla, or maybe we need a change in what we're eating.
This is rather weird. No change here either. Well that's not strictly true. Over the week it went down then up then back down then after the 3 days weekend had shot up so I was very unhappy, and finally come back to where I was. (Which wasn't a particularly good weight anyway, but compared to yesterday ..... !)
Down 0.2 lbs (but up from yesterday)
No change from the November thread over to a December thread and no change from me eiether!

What's wrong with me? I am fine with my meals and then let myself down with forbidden snacks in between. I'm not eating these at home and they are not in my weekly shop but yesterday I couldn't resist a lemon tartlet in a coffee shop and a choc bar at the petrol station in the evening! Maybe confessing here will stop the denial. I'm just lucky not to have gained. Better luck to you all.
Hearty stews aren't necessarily fattening. It's just meat and veg. Put more veg in like carrots, onions and tomatoes rather then swede and parsnips and you've got a lovely meal without feeling deprived. Have a pile of green leafy veg on the side, too.
