I have been working at my job now since September, I have recently been offered another job.
I do not have a Contract which states any part of my employment or has anything been verbally said. I want to take up on the new job offer however, what about the notice period?

You must give a week's notice
Of course you can just walk out and say "sue me" knowing they won't bother, but it's better to leave on good terms and that way you can make sure you get any holiday pay that may be due. If you have holidays left you may be able to leave this week
I know a guy who was offered a better job and just walked out saying ''you can stuff this job up your a***** I'm off''
Unfortunately the new job fell through and he had to come and plead to have his old job back.
And you may always need a reference
rule of thumb..if weekly paid..weeks notice...monthly then a month..however since you have only been there a short while I would ask when your employer would be happy to release you..often a polite request leads to a more accommodating arrangement
