Stop getting yourself in a tizz abbey. You met him when...2 weeks ago or less...and you're worrying that he hasn't called "like he usually does". Sorry, there is no "usually" here...he may not feel well, or may be he's busy.

If  you call, it should only be to ask how he is...nothing else. Stop expecting people to be there and behave in how you want all the time...things don't work that way. Otherwise you'll "break up" with him and say it's his fault. Just like with all the jobs...its always someone else's fault.

I don't think he is beholden to tell you anything after 1 date - assume he doesn't and be surprised if he does
