Several weeks ago, my eldest daughter told me she was pregnant. After the initial shock and I'm ashamed to say anger (she's only 19) I was secretly pleased.
This morning, she had her first scan.........and....it's become they, THEY'RE IDENTICAL TWINS!!!!
Both she and her boyfriend are totally floored and I'm utterly gobsmacked.
yes, that's why i was angry 4get. I had her at 18 and missed out on so much, i didn't want her to be the same. It's obviously put paid to normal teen things now, foreign drink fuelled holidays for example...lol
lol, i know red, the scan's amazing, they're laid like they were in a bunk bed, one on top of the other. Apparently it's deff they are identical as they share the same placenta.
We all felt the same when my little sis was pregnant with my niece, B00, she was only 18 when she had her. Now, she is truly one of the best mums out there. Lots of luck to your eldest and congrats again. :o) x
i was only 16 and living 70 miles away from my mum when i told my mum i was pregnant she was shocked but now she loves being a nan and has him for wks in de summer but when i first had him all i wanted was my mum and it was hard wiv 1 being young but i would love twins now it will hard for her but i shocked my mum on how well coped and i bet she will cope fine and i wish her luck and hope all gose well
I am sure it must be a surprise - do twins run in the family?
What a gorgeous surprise though - imagine when they're running around with mini B00 having fun - in a few years to come, you won't be able to put a price on that :)
Beads- actually yes they do, I was a twin but it was stillborn ( i haven't told her that) I just said no when she asked. The stillborn happened because my mum fell off a horse (!) and not through anything genetically wrong, still, i don't want to scare her any further.
Pippa- yep sadly, its still the same old Boo, suddenly feel older now too!
congrats to you all B00... obviously your family is not big on spending their 20s exploring life, but presumably your daughter enjoyed her upbringing enough to want to try it herself, which is quite a compliment.
...let's see, great-granny by 58, say, great-great-granny by 80...
