Hey,
Me and my partner have been trying for a baby for over 8months now, and still no signs of any change, any advise on how we could speed up the process?

Don't drink, don't smoke, eat a healthy diet, exercise and have lot's of sex.

Neither of us smoke, very rarely drink, I would say once a month if we are lucky, and we are certainly having lot's of sex
Sounds to me like you are doing everything right then good luck
It's just a waiting game then. Try not to stress about it as that can lower your chances and remember it takes the average couple over a year to conceive...
relax and dont focus too much on it.

dont get up and rush to loo after having sex lol. gravity will work against you

A healthy diet, lots exercise and zinc are all recommended. My friends have been trying for 3 ys and were just approved IVF but have now found out she's pregnant :)

I have been told not to worry till after the year mark has passed, but it just seems to get to me when there's people who don't even want children that just fall pregnant after one time!
In response to RedHelen/ Rachybaby? I don't understand?
Climber-chick , that is great news, god I hope it don't take us that long though she must of been demented.
She had the exact same arguments, all these people who fall pregnant by accident who aren't bothered about having babies, just makes you feel bitter.
I guess its the 'wanting something so much' scenario, if you just relax then things may start to happen :)
Or as I've often heard said....stop trying for a baby.
How old are you pixie? I know that when we were trying, as we were over 30, the doctor referred us for investigationas after a year rather than waiting the usual two. Everything was fine though and I concieved the month after getting the all clear, over two years after starting to try. Part of our problem was too much sex apparently! I think they recommend 2 or 3 times a week.
Getting completely gassed after not drinking for over two years did the trick too - sometimes you just need to relax and forget about about it.
Too much sex when trying for a baby?! How funny!...how does that work then Annie? (I'm just curious).
Question Author
Yes, that is exactly what people keep telling me 'stop trying' and it will happen naturally :)
but yes it definitely does make you feel bitter, I no somebody who has just turned 21 and now has 3 children to 2 different fathers, neither of which she is still with, and to be completely honest, she does not seem to gave a dam about them, people like these to me do not deserve to have children!
Apparently too much sex doesn't allow "the troops" to be restocked!
How regular is your cycle?
Oh I see! Ha! You learn something new everyday... Thanks for explaining that annie! :c)
You need quality swimmers :-)
As ever, quality over quantity!
No problem CD - it was fun trying but it meant that each time there was less chance of sucess, although having said that it only takes one of the guys to make it! - we got there in the end and ended up with 2 boys 13 months apart.
