Mango.. what to do!
5 Answers
Hi all, I bought a mango the other day and when I went to cut it up because it was quite ripe and soft it just sort of turned to mulch. It was so hard to cut up nicely and I ended up throwing it away. Does anyone know a way of cutting them properly? I still have one left and it beginning to be a little too ripe now.

It's worth the effort - I adore mango either as a fruit or juiced.

skin the mango whole. Hold it in your palm horizontally. with a knife, cut off vertically from bottom to top the 'cheek' that is on one side of the seed. Turn the mango to the other side hold vertically and cut the other cheek likewise. Turn to a side and cut of the piece on that side. Do likewise for the other side. You are left with only the seed and four slices two big, two small.
Use the mango as required.
